Viggen Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I think that MiG-21 is a photoshopped Romanian LANCER. The second I'm not sure of, but just becuase the US and Russia aren't buddy-buddy doesn't mean that they will never fly together. There are some shots of some Tu-95s parked next to some B-52s floating around the web.
+FastCargo Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 There are tons of pics of US and Russian fighter aircraft flying together. In fact, I have a buddy who flew F-15s against Russian SU-27s when they came to visit the US. Helped escort them through the US airspace system and everything. The other pic I have no clue about...it looks a lot like a MiG-21 in JASDF markings... FC
Silverbolt Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 cool could somebody post more US and Russian Planes flying togeder?
Silverbolt Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Nice! i had only found kangaroos with Bears
Silverbolt Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 lol i' think it was rare, fighter-fighter interceptions.....i've only saw very few pics ><
serverandenforcer Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 What I noticed was that the escorting aircraft are not armed up. Must be diplomatic protocol under NATO. Unless those aren't shots of aircraft escorts but of someting else.
kct Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) coolpilot: Those MiGs were the best we have at that time (that was from an exercise back in the 90s). And truth to be told no matter what everyone might say, I'm still proud that they have made an awesome job of defending our skies for more than 10 years, and they're still kicking strong. Jimbib Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 For the supposed picture of the JASDF MiG-21, you can tell it's been photoshopped. The roundel is too clean, and the area around it has been blurred and smoothed out, hence the reduced amount of noise.
Nesher Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 nice paint scheme on the F-16! very nice! :)
Gunrunner Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 You probably could find the same things with French fighters, but in our case it's been a regular courtesy visit from Russian squadrons detachments to the EC 01/30 since the end of WW2 as commemoration of the original Normandie-Niemen squadron.
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I had some old pics of some WWII era planes, you can see some russian Yaks and american P-51/47 and some spitfires sitting around the arifield.. 1944, And the story behind is, the Yaks made a transition flight. They landed on a allied airfield and the tried every plane against those yaks. No allied airplane could defet the Yaks in a dogfight. Planes were Yak3/9 Damn I have no scaner here
