bobrock Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 Well, the bird has flown. I just uploaded it and it will be available in a few hours. It took more than expected to finish it, I hope you enjoy it :) I will upload soon a generic TIALD pod, to be used on the Tornado and the Jag. Quote

76.IAP-Blackbird Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 This bird is excellent, where is the difference in 3D from the GR9 or even GR9A?? Quote
Spectre_USA Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 >Pic of purty girl< Nice touch Yeah, I saw that too, very cool. Definitely a new high water mark for aircraft releases. Absolutely stunning... Quote

Dave Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 This bird is excellent, where is the difference in 3D from the GR9 or even GR9A?? I looked around and I could not see or find any difference externally from the 7 to the 9. It seems to be all guts related. The GR7A and GR9A have the much better engines in them. Quote
ST0RM Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 The GR.9 was intended to have the larger LERX. The GR.7/AV-8B had the 70%, while the GR.9 was to have the 100%. But it doesn't seem to have been built as standard, so there are still a mix. Quote
bobrock Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 You are both correct. The difference between GR7 and GR9 are mostly avionics related. The larger LERX are standard on new built GR9 and have been retrofitted on some older GR7. GR7A is a GR7 with an upgraded engine. The 9A is an upgraded 7A. Anyway the GR9 has not completely replaced the GR7 and they're both operational with Joint Force Harrier. Quote
