Cameljockey Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Did you draw that Puff? Truly excellent work. Ever try skinning? CJ
Rickitycrate Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Very nice drawing. So much talent is found at Combat Ace. Thanks for sharing this. Are these the Poles that flew during the BOB? I'm no expert.
Jammer28 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Puff, Truly excellent. Great composition. I find myself looking at the faces and into the airman’s eyes. Somehow it all looks so life like. Jammer
rabu Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Nice drawing, Puff, can you post the photo too, would love to see what you worked from.
+RAF_Louvert Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 OUTSTANDING! Yet another artist shows his true grit. Cheers! Lou
02RAF_Puff Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 Many thanks for the kind words folks...the drawing took over 70 hrs to complete..Im having a rest { well drawing a Hurricane Mk1 landing } and then I may try my hand at a nice WW1 drawing :)
+Hasse Wind Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Wow, that's a masterpiece! Do you paint also? I can imagine how pretty such a pic would look in water colours, or in oil.
Cameljockey Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I hope you don't mind Puff, but it's my new desktop. CJ
GRUMPYBEAR Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Outstanding!!! Cant wait on the WW1 drawing. GB
Cameljockey Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Puff, this is a really outstanding drawing, I mean really outstanding. Like I said in a previous post, it's on my desktop, and will likely stay there for a while. I've already had a couple of friends ask me who did it, and I tell them "one of the guys on the forum". The pilots, you can almost look into their eyes and read their thoughts, and the Hurricane looks excellent......from the cockpit back. From there forward is good, but not long enough or thick enough, and just doesn't seem to fit the rest of the plane. I hate to be critical, but I calls 'em the way I sees 'em. It'll still be my desktop but I felt I needed to voice my true opinion. I hope you won't be offended. CJ Edited May 2, 2009 by Cameljockey
