+ST0RM Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Iran Air flies the -200 as cargo haulers. They are pretty non-descript. The IRIAF fly a tanker version also. Just some ideas for skins. It's interesting to see non-combatants flying through a war zone. Quote

FastCargo Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Well, pretty much except for the dorsal bump, what else does a E-4B need? FC Quote
+Dave Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Needs the bump on the nose for the AR door, CM areas on the wings. Quote

lazboy Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Didn't the Carter administration look at a 747 that would have been capable of launching the nuclear armed version of the ALCM instead of the B-1A Quote
+Typhoid Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Didn't the Carter administration look at a 747 that would have been capable of launching the nuclear armed version of the ALCM instead of the B-1A yes, they did. They also looked at a C-5 that would air launch a Minuteman. Quote
+Typhoid Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) played with the 747 last night with both the 747 skin and the AF1 skin. I had fun with the centerline stores that could load and drop all kinds of ordnance. I presume that is for the ATC facility when the holding time extends a bit..... or AF1 overhead the Senate Minority Leader's apartment! Edited June 26, 2009 by Typhoid Quote
+Typhoid Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Are you sure? pretty sure, yes. There certainly weren't any when I fly on it as part of JS Ops Team One and on a recent update tour on the aircraft with the new Team One, I didn't note anything different. Its possible that I just didn't see anything, but it all looked pretty much the same. Even still had the same cracked desk at my former ops position twenty years later.......... remember that the mission is primarily within the US airspace and into other, protected, areas. Quote
