+Gepard 11,315 Posted October 18, 2009 (edited) Its really a difficult job the fight enemies who hide behinde civilists. If i would have been at the position of the israeli commanders i would have set more on artillery then on the air force. With fire finder radar systems you can find the start positions of missiles very accurate and less then 50 seconds later the ari could shell the target. So for all eyes the relations between Hamas missile attacke and israelis counter strike would be undenyable. And i would have not had so much patience with Hamas if they attacked civil targets in Israel. I would have striked back much faster and harder then the Israelis did. Stick 773 Posted October 18, 2009 The Selous Scouts were especially adept at handling these situations.
GwynO 16 Posted October 18, 2009 Well at last! Every point in that speech felt like the hammer hitting the nail on the head and driving it in. I'd love to see just how the media (and their junkies) would survive living in the Gaza strip as a normal person, not as a celebrity journalist pandered to by a bubble of Hamas cheerleaders, but just as ordinary citizens, wouldn't be long before they would be begging the IDF to come rescue them. Stick 773 Posted October 18, 2009 There was this article ages ago in The Hindu, written by some pacifist bitch who was denouncing the Israeli use of rubber bullets on mobs. I couldn't help but think would she rather they use real bullets instead? Someone once described journalists as pornographers of violence.
macelena 1,070 Posted October 18, 2009 People (public opinion) doesn´t take too much time to think at it, just get quickly a message of politically correct style content, a "feel good", and repeat it. If they did so, they wouldn´t take too long to learn: Asymmetrical war means that the "weak" stands because he doesn´t give a s**t about rules wich the "strong" cares about. The western morale, the events wich wrote us, (WWII, Vietnam, Yugoslavia) didn´t pass by them, and are something about the wich they don´t give a s**t. That´s why the guy who cares the most about civilians is the IDF Apache pilot who is shooting at them- or nearby, not the fighter-for-their-freedom. That´s why MAD doesn´t apply to Iran and it´s such critical to stop this crap before it starts. Wonder how would the other side care about our human rights if they had our power? Even less than they care about "their" people, of course. Their lies, their lack of remorse, honor, shame, their way to get use of the good will of the people, of the civilization they envy and want to destroy, make me, personally, have no doubt that sometimes we, westerners, f*** things up, we have assholes among us, also, but we are not the mentally ill society. Sometimes things just go wrong. You can´t prevent all death, but hell, you try your best I think that we are the good ones, that we must care being the good ones still, and be honest when we speak, as far as what we say counts. You know, in democracy, you are free to speech, but its then when you are really responsible for what you say. That´s why the Tommy Colonel spoke this way

Derk 265 Posted October 24, 2009 Hamas stinks, like any other fundamentalist stinks. Though Gaza may not be a real glorious page in the history of the Israeli Army, they probably did their best and at least there was a lot of justification in the invasion. But Israel also has a fundamentalist problem and I am afraid I don't like what's happening on the Westbank, where very real trouble is brewing and where fierce hatred hate is being created . Don't know how it will end ........ Hou doe, Derk
