OvS 8 Posted February 6, 2010 (edited) WARNING.... for any HUN pilots... it's advisable to wear a bib... OK... here they are... Makai and I decided it was time we revamped our Fokker skin set as it was really the first work we had done in OFF, and many of them looked very degraded from being cut and pasted so much. So for the past 3 months, I have been working on the base templates for each of the 3 types. I still have the D.VII F to do, but for now... here are the first screen shots to come of the effort. Makai has the templates and is working through learning the new techniques I derived from hours of total frustration from my lack of realism in my skins. We have no idea when these will be released to the public, as we have a TON to remaster... but you will have them, hopefully sooner than later.... enjoy! Fokker built Fokker D.VII - in order.... Olham 164 Posted February 6, 2010 I like the Lozenge particularly very much. Did they really fly on with the old mauve-green wing between the wheels, after having got the Lozenge fabric, OvS? I wonder how those crates with a Lozenge fuselage will appear! Great work!
Ironhat 0 Posted February 6, 2010 Nice work, those will be welcomed !
OvS 8 Posted February 6, 2010 I like the Lozenge particularly very much. Did they really fly on with the old mauve-green wing between the wheels, after having got the Lozenge fabric, OvS? I wonder how those crates with a Lozenge fuselage will appear! Great work! Yes.. all OAW built crates were painted that way factory. The Fokker built had the Lozenge. All markings, colors and patterns are based on Windsock datafile profiles and heavily researched. You'll be able to see the differences between the models as well.. meaning, some have more cowlings, different style cowlings, different serial number styles and placement, correct wheel color patterns... etc. OvS
Olham 164 Posted February 6, 2010 You do the finest research, with true love for the painted birds! And believe me, OvS, you brought me the greatest sim ever - I don't "play" anything else; I live here in my Nissen hut near the airfield of Jasta 6!
nbryant 8 Posted February 6, 2010 ....now excuse me while I go cry as my efforts to create/do skins is so "Disney-ish" when compaired to the quality displayed here. I bow to a true artist!
