TheWarrior Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) USS North Carolina in sea trials. She will do nicely in my Solomons campaign. Edited June 8, 2013 by TheWarrior
+whiteknight06604 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 looks great. As far as I'm concerned there can't be enough ships in Strike fighters. 1
+Wrench Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 while not particularly ww2 in nature (or use!), early WIP of the PB-1W. Obviously, there more 'stuff' on the bird than the Real Life ones. That'll be fixed after the 17F and 17Gs are released (I'll have to bug Veltro from max work to remove some stuff, guns turrets, etc) but, those decals I've had laying around for some time now get a new home! And a late 40s to late 50s AEW bird! 1
+whiteknight06604 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I was going to ask about that one Wrench. glad to see it is being done. wasn't there a version with a life boat too?
+russouk2004 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Not 100% WWII but close enough... remodelling the seafang as it was very basic...new rudder,stabs,ailerons,exhausts,manifolds... redoing canopy, new props, gears etc to smooth it off a bit and make it less polygonal...(blocky...lol)
+russouk2004 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 prop,new and old gears,new exhausts...better shaped ailerons ,elevators,rudder. 1
+russouk2004 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 New prop,spinner..new gears...animating was a mare...better canopy etc...ignore paint its temp. new cannons (not blocky any longer) rounder intake, was an early model I did when had`nt done many 3d models,so low poly...and blocky...so updating the parts.. 2
+Wrench Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 reworking... so much to do, so much to fix...
Wilches Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Raven. that´s really cool!!! You got the right cowling shape for this Merlin version. BTW, you can create the P-40L by reducing the guns to the 4 pattern and reduce plane´s overall weight. The " Checkertail Clan" fans (me) are begging for that! Ah, the windshield had an extra oppening window at the left side. Check the photos on net. Congrats !
+RAVEN Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 (edited) The L , M and N had the new windscreen, but they were put on other P-40's as replacements parts. So far none of the info is 100%, lots of conflicting data. Edited June 20, 2013 by RAVEN
