+Dels Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 View File Flyable A-1H/J Skyraider for SF2V Ver 1.0 This mod makes the stock A-1H/J's from SF2V flyable using a cockpit created by me. It also incorporates all the skins The Wrench has released for the Skyraider. Read the readme.txt for full details and credits etc. Dels Submitter Dels Submitted 10/11/2011 Category A-1 2 Quote
Wrench Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 (edited) Remember People -and this is VERY IMPORTANT!!!!-- open each of the main inis (A-1H.ini, A-1H_67.ini, A-1J.ini and A-1J_67.ini) and "save as..." x*nameofplane*.ini, because after the installation of the next patch or DLC, they'll all revert BACK to non-flyable AI-only. Then, it's just a simple matter of opening the inis (all of them in turn), and "save as..." back to the original name, withOUT the x Thanks again Dels, for cranking this puppy out!! Some superb little tricks with 'hide nodes'! wrench kevin stein Edited October 11, 2011 by Wrench fixed verb tense Quote

Then after a patch all you need to do is drag and drop back in. If you keep them in approrpriately named folders, it's just one drag-and-drop and you're all set! Quote
Wrench Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 and how is that less work than a simple open/save as for 4 inis, that permanently reside in each aircraft folder? (same for ALL non-flyable made player controlable) Quote

+Crusader Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Attached are the four A-1 data inis with gun aimangle value entries added. The AI aims so precise that with the guns shooting straight ahead they miss small targets like AAA every time, bracketing the target nicely ... Skyraider data gun aimangles.7z Quote
malibu43 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Dels - great work on this cockpit! Just a heads up - when I use mouse panning to look all the way back over my shoulder and then look up and down, the screen goes from slightly darker to slightly lighter. It looks as if the pilot's viewpoint is passing in an out of the canopy. I don't have a screen shot right now, but I can grab one later if that helps. Totally not a show stopper and probably won't even come up that often, but I just wanted to let you know. Quote

Yes, there is a hole at the back of the canopy where I did not build the frame, so you're probably seeing where the canopy ends. I did adjust the yaw/pitch figures in the _COCKPIT.ini so it couldn't be seen, but you may be able to see it if you're using a custom view. Dels Edited October 15, 2011 by Dels Quote
