Flyable A-1H/J Skyraider for SF2V Ver 1.0

This mod makes the stock A-1H/J's from SF2V flyable using a cockpit created by me.

It also incorporates all the skins The Wrench has released for the Skyraider.

Read the readme.txt for full details and credits etc.

Remember People -and this is VERY IMPORTANT!!!!-- open each of the main inis (A-1H.ini, A-1H_67.ini, A-1J.ini and A-1J_67.ini) and "save as..." x*nameofplane*.ini, because after the installation of the next patch or DLC, they'll all revert BACK to non-flyable AI-only.

Then, it's just a simple matter of opening the inis (all of them in turn), and "save as..." back to the original name, withOUT the x

Thanks again Dels, for cranking this puppy out!! Some superb little tricks with 'hide nodes'!

Or even better, back up the AI-made-flyable *aircraf*.ini files in a .rar file (which I have done for A-1's, Mirages, F-104's, and the A-6). Then after a patch all you need to do is drag and drop back in. If you keep them in approrpriately named folders, it's just one drag-and-drop and you're all set!

and how is that less work than a simple open/save as for 4 inis, that permanently reside in each aircraft folder? (same for ALL non-flyable made player controlable)

Dels - great work on this cockpit!

Just a heads up - when I use mouse panning to look all the way back over my shoulder and then look up and down, the screen goes from slightly darker to slightly lighter. It looks as if the pilot's viewpoint is passing in an out of the canopy.

I don't have a screen shot right now, but I can grab one later if that helps.

Totally not a show stopper and probably won't even come up that often, but I just wanted to let you know.

Yes, there is a hole at the back of the canopy where I did not build the frame, so you're probably seeing where the canopy ends. I did adjust the yaw/pitch figures in the _COCKPIT.ini so it couldn't be seen, but you may be able to see it if you're using a custom view.

Open the canopy of the cockpit, linked to the animation of the external model

Does not look perfect, the canopy bow is a single mesh = no framed canopy glass with the canopy open

In the cockpit ini, add

Instrument[063]=OpenCanopy1
Instrument[064]=OpenCanopy2
Instrument[065]=OpenCanopy3
Instrument[066]=OpenCanopy4

...

// ----------------------------------- open canopy
[OpenCanopy1]
Type=EXTERNAL_ANIMATION_LINK
NodeName=Canopy_Frame
MovementType=POSITION_Y
ItemNumber=4
SmoothDeployment=TRUE
Set[01].Position=0.0
Set[01].Value=0.0
Set[02].Position=-0.55
Set[02].Value=1.0

[OpenCanopy2]
Type=EXTERNAL_ANIMATION_LINK
NodeName=Canopy_Glass
MovementType=POSITION_Y
ItemNumber=4
SmoothDeployment=TRUE
Set[01].Position=0.0
Set[01].Value=0.0
Set[02].Position=-0.55
Set[02].Value=1.0

[OpenCanopy3]
Type=EXTERNAL_ANIMATION_LINK
NodeName=Left_Mirror_Frame
MovementType=POSITION_Y
ItemNumber=4
SmoothDeployment=TRUE
Set[01].Position=0.0
Set[01].Value=0.0
Set[02].Position=-0.55
Set[02].Value=1.0

[OpenCanopy4]
Type=EXTERNAL_ANIMATION_LINK
NodeName=Right_Mirror_Frame
MovementType=POSITION_Y
ItemNumber=4
SmoothDeployment=TRUE
Set[01].Position=0.0
Set[01].Value=0.0
Set[02].Position=-0.55
