...I feel ashamed that as a Dutchman I havent seen this before, and at the same time proud of an honest, very inspiring soldier, acting under difficult circumstances. I consider him (and his predecessor Dick Berlijn for that matter) outstanding in their role as Commander in Chief, true assets for our armed forces.

And for the record (unthinkable and horrible): his son, Lt Dennis van Uhm was killed just THE DAY after his father was appointed CiC.................
