More or less jeanba, The Club Med Campaigns are really just battles during time periods in the region. I'm planning to release more campaigns as addons, and a full Israel vs Lebanon

was one i wanted to release. I've tried to have as much aircraft and ground objects as i could included in this mod to cover from the 1970's to Present day so that Single Missions and

Campaigns could easily be addon. That's also why i refered to it as a Sandbox Mod.

Spectre8750,

sorry but I think I wasted few hours trying to make it working,

it just CTDs after the splash screen, installed as per readme, I'm at loss :sad:

everything other works flawlessly on my system: W7 64 bit, 8 GB ram, GF 560Ti, up to date drivers etc, any other sf install works, this one refuses to launch

also browsing the installation I found out that Mig-15 has older version of the cockpit... tell me what's the point of not including the updated one?

generally Spectre8750 I suggest you test your full-pack installations better before uploading in the future :bye:

I have tested it. Not sure why you're having this problem. Could you tell me what the file count and size is in your install? I will include the New Cockpit in an update. Been so busy i overlooked it.

Thanks for the info.

also don't forget I did PFU cockpit too!

it's over 11 GB, so it's all there, structure is ok so I honestly have no idea what causes that CTD :dntknw:

now I'm reinstalling it from scratch, will see

ok, I nailed it

it's one of the MENU folder items, my bet is on one of .ini files, I renamed MENU to xMENU and it works so far, now if I could narrow it to which .ini causes that... and now I recollect I had the very same issue on older system with one of yours Modern Warfare installs I think it was Korea

edit:

still, not working, CTDs after clicking on Flight, both Campaign and single missions, tested on IsraelME map aswell as Desert and GermanyCE ones, several planes from several periods (to check if some ground object might be conflicting etc)

Is anyone else having this problem or any success running the Single Missions or Campaigns?

soo... I made some progress, in fact found a solution to the issues I have had -I had tiny leftovers dlls from Sweet FX DirectX plugin in my main installation folder (not the mod installation one, but game core one) that was causing the CTDs with this mod,

I think case solved, sorry for yesterdays bitching, I was pissed after few hours of battling with it :heat:

well done, I never thought shooting down a reaper would be quite a challenge. Soviet missiles on the flankers dont work :biggrin:

I do wish we have a tail hook on them flankers. otherwise great job i just imagine the nightmares of putting all that stuff together.

Okay having fun with this apart from War for Israel threw me a wobbly on the 2nd mission... with the USAF F-35A I had a Royal Navy battlegroup steaming on land next to my airbase in Red Colours... interesting take off... getting shot at by a full battlegroup...

Win7

April 2012 Update

Also there is a problem in Med 82 when you select the FA-18A it parks you on the USS Pelieu and then crashes the game out...

Everything else runs fine...

Having an odd issue with this one, Was able to play the first mission in a Club Med 82 campaign with the USN opperating the F-14A(82) just fine, but now the game crashes at about 70% on the loading screen. As per the crash report

Running Windows 7 64,

One note, I did deviate from the Read me a bit, and based by EXE/INI's off of a copied SF2 NA.exe, not a SFT:Isrel.exe. I also applied the fix you mentioned to the single mission settings a on the last page. No joy :(

Could using the SF2NA.EXE be my issue? Seems odd it would work one misson, and now crash out on another...

PS: The one mission I did get to play was awesome! Thanks for this!

As an update, I was able to do the War For Israel defense campaign in an F/A-18E without any CTD's. On the second mission however, both the US and OPFOR fleets were basically intermingled and in active conflict. I was locked up as soon as my wheels left the deck, lol. I'm guessing this is more bug than feature?

      Hello fellow FE2 fliers,
      Instead of posting under the stickied "ini tweaks" thread - that hasn't seen fresh posts in a couple of yrs., I thought I'd open a separate (small) post here for something I stumbled upon only yesterday while tinkering with my rudder setups in WOFF and IL2-BoM installs - and I realized that it might work well for FE2/SF2 too.
      Those of you flying with "twist" joystick and/or rudder pedal setups might still find this helpful - but it is especially intended for those of you who are still flying with older/cheapish sticks (such as the Logitech Attack 3 in my case, with no twist capability) - you most likely have left/right rudder mapped to the top left/right buttons on the joystick. In WOFF, and other sims, it's usually a question of (manually) clicking several times left or right to get desired rudder input, and then clicking the center button on your stick to center the rudder.
      For a few yrs., I've really only been frustrated by one thing in the TW sims., and that was the "snappish" response of the auto-rudder setup - until I dug further into some of the more obscure entries of the Default.ini file located under "C:\Users\Yourusername\Saved Games\ThirdWire\FirstEagles2\Controls" (same directory path for SF2, except substitute StrikeFighters2 for FirstEagles2).
      The relevant entries to tamper with are the following three:
      -----
      [RangedControl001]
      AxisControl=PITCH_CONTROL
      MaxValue=1000.000000
      MinValue=-1000.000000
      DeadZone=0.000000
      Saturation=115.000000
      ReverseJoystick=TRUE
      MouseScale=1.000000
      UseMouseRate=FALSE
      ReverseMouse=FALSE
      LimitValue=TRUE
      SelfCenterRate=1.000000 -----> I recommend setting this to 1.0 for FE2, to slow down the elevator self-centering rate for WWI 'crates with their wires and cables (leave at the default value of 2.0 for WW2 and Cold War installs in SF2 with "faster" hydraulic setups)
      //2.000000
      KeyControlRate=1.000000
      AllowKeyControl=TRUE
      IncreaseControl=PITCH_DOWN
      DecreaseControl=PITCH_UP
      CenterControl=   [RangedControl002]
      AxisControl=YAW_CONTROL
      MaxValue=1000.000000
      MinValue=-1000.000000
      DeadZone=0.000000
      Saturation=115.000000
      ReverseJoystick=FALSE
      MouseScale=1.000000
      UseMouseRate=FALSE
      ReverseMouse=FALSE
      LimitValue=TRUE
      SelfCenterRate=0.100000 -----> recommended, for those using left/right joystick buttons to control rudder, is to reduce to a value of about 0.1 for WWI 'crates, again to simulate cable/wire control, but also in order to allow for lots of manual left/right rudder correction that, once you stop controlling rudder, allows it to return back to center position somewhat slowly (takes about 10 seconds to return to center); for WW2 and Cold War SF2 installs, a better value to use is something like 0.25 for the self-center rate, again to mimic the extra force of hydraulic controls
      //2.000000
      KeyControlRate=1.000000
      AllowKeyControl=TRUE
      IncreaseControl=YAW_RIGHT
      DecreaseControl=YAW_LEFT
      CenterControl= -----> have not bothered to use this since I like the 0.1 value for self-centering, for FE2, but, for those lacking twisty rudders or pedals, the most logical choice here is the top center button on the joystick, sandwiched between the left/right buttons for left/right rudder input   [RangedControl003]
      AxisControl=ROLL_CONTROL
      MaxValue=1000.000000
      MinValue=-1000.000000
      DeadZone=0.000000
      Saturation=115.000000
      ReverseJoystick=FALSE
      MouseScale=1.000000
      UseMouseRate=FALSE
      ReverseMouse=FALSE
      LimitValue=TRUE
      SelfCenterRate=1.000000 -----> I recommend setting this to 1.0 for FE2, to slow down the aileron self-centering rate for WWI 'crates with their wires and cables and generally sloppy ailerons (leave at default value of 2.0 for WW2 and Cold War installs in SF2 with "faster" hydraulic setups, as with the elevator setup in the relevant entry in this post)
      //2.000000
      KeyControlRate=1.000000
      AllowKeyControl=TRUE
      IncreaseControl=ROLL_RIGHT
      DecreaseControl=ROLL_LEFT

      Note: I removed all the nation sounds from this Menu packs for size reasons. If you intend to install the "VIPER63A HQ Menu Sounds" pack, please install that pack first. Installing the HQ Sound pack over the Menu pack may overwrite some of the menu specific music files. You can always re-install this menu pack to get the menu specific theme music back.
      Special thanks to Homefies and Spectre8750 for their contributions that led me here...
      This mod includes custom "Israeli" themed menu screens, pilots and music. I used the MENU INI files to reuse the music files for different menus. This reduces the size of the package as I don't have duplicates of the same music files for different menus. You should unzip the file and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing this as there are alternate screens I have in there that you might like better.
      If you choose to install these screens, I recommend that you back up your FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders in the SF2 Mod folder you're installing this mod into. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup.
      To install, simply unzip and copy the uncompressed FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder.
