+Gepard Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) Some reports say that there has been Russian support units in Syria for at least 3 months. Premeditation... But seeing the legs of the mechanics, I would say they had not worn shorts in a sunny place since ages. The question is, what the writers of the reports understand as "russian support units" . Russian sources stated, that recon units were active for a certain time. It is also clear, that the russians transported a lot of ammo and fuel to Latakia before they sent in their aviation units. JediMaster Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Well their logistics train is going to be rusty and inefficient. If they waited till the birds were in place to start the pipeline they'd run short from day one. They just didn't announce anything until the planes arrived, even though I'm sure most other countries had the intel that knew it was going to happen. Quote
Emp_Palpatine Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 The first Turkish jet crossing, even by a few kilometers, Syrian airspace is dead meat for sure. Quote
BlueCaneCorso Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 The Su-30 are only a show of force. Nothing to worry about it. They are a shield for the case that our "very good friend" Erdogan decides not only to bomb the only the Kurds who were for a long time the only force who fought successfully against the IS, but also decides to fight directly against Assad. Gepard - who knew you could predict the future! Well kind of, Erdogan wasn't smart enough to take the hint... Quote
