+Gepard Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Source RT deutsch, russian television RT is a russian state own broadcasting company. So dont trust all what they say, show and write. But the video gives a nice view on russian carrier ops in mediterranien sea. If the statements of RT are correct, russian carrier planes will take part in the fights over Syria in very close time. It was said, that cruise missiles of the type "Kalibr" will used in the strikes. 4
Nightshade/PR Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Catapult my Aunt Fanny!!! Who needs em? Let's just crank it up and brute force it off the deck. Great video.
+JediMaster Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I think that video could use a Russian cover of Danger Zone.
+russouk2004 Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Impressive.....the Ruskies sure know how to make some decent kit...it may look less advanced as the US,but they sure look good.....hairy short landing area....skilled pilots indeed.... I simply love the Flanker and The Fulcrums....they are just so pretty.....Flankers always remind me of geese in flight, with the broad wings and the drooping nose....awesome
MAKO69 Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 What's the warload for those planes without using a catapult? Can't be very much.

Kuznetsov utilizes specifically a MiG-29K to act as a tanker for the aircraft on mission and also acts as a jamming aircraft if memory serves. On a side note, it's very unfortunate that Kuznetsov managed to lose two aircraft within the space of three weeks, both during mission recovery, valuable lessons to be learned for sure.
