Jon_Beers Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 I'm not finding this in the SF2 Forum and using the search is getting me there either. One thing I liked to do with the old SF1 was use the Single Mission option with Start Position 'In the Air' not 'Near Target.' I'm using the 2013 SF2 full five merged. Now I can only sart on the ground or "In air, NEAR Target." Not the end of the world, can probably get around it with the Mission Editor. But I did like the old feature. Is there a fix???? Quote
+Piecemeal Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Hi StoneAxe1492. You'll be able to change this if you click on the "Options" tab in the main menu of the game. Quote
Jon_Beers Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 That's the prob, i only have the two options, the 3rd is gone. Zip, nada.... :) Quote
Wrench Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 sf2 removed the just "start in air over base" 1 Quote

Jon_Beers Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 (edited) That was funny...hadn't thought about that movie in awhile. I know the movie was 'Dumb' but it was funny. I challenged my X-brother-in-law to a bet that he could not sit through that movie with a straight face. He couldn't make it. He was serious up to the cop saying, 'shut you punkin pie hair cutt'd freak & give the booze if you know what's good for ya.' And then took a big chug of uh urine. Jon_Beers Posted September 17, 2019 Author Posted September 17, 2019 I found i can edit a simple mission pretty quick or use the "Alt+N" (that may not be the default keys) feature to jump to the action area after takeoff. You know, reading the manual or at least the list of available commands is still a viable option even today. :) 1 Quote
MigBuster Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 IIRC Alt+N jumps to the IP waypoint which can be moved before you start a mission. Quote
Jon_Beers Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 Thanks...yeah i found with the editor you cab set the 'home base' to none or use the 'ALT -N' (Bothering to read the documentation makes a lot of difference) Which is fine. Mostly i would want to have a reasonable match-up dogfight only thing. OR...fly strike escort which would be a scaled down alpha strike or whatever you call an air force strike. Probably a 'Strike.' (i maxed out the available memory for this computer and after 8 gigs i couldn't tell much improvement. 1 day if i live long enough, i will just have to own something akin to alienware.) I have to mention how awesome many of the add-ons are. These are some of 'MY' favs and are not meant to slight those not mentioned. I've always liked the phantom especially the 'S' model. (Even though it kinda drives like a truck) The TMF tomcat superpack is great. I can finaly fly the re-engined models And really like the Mirages, Rafales, eurofighters, & tornados etc as well And especially the atlas cheetah...i didn't even know anybody remembered that plane but me Go Navy!
