So, I ended up modeling the ATACMS myself based on the instructions and photos, it's rough but good enough to use.

Another thing is, maybe it's the game itself, I can't get them (all HIMARS) to get the launch tube at the better angle when firing,so they will fire at like 30° then rockets/missiles loft up..

ofc I can limit pitch angle, like min/defualt pitch angle at 50,70,180 whatever,but I think this doesn't look good for the "standby" state, what do you think?

M1A2 pack is almost done, I may just wait for some new bug appear, if there is no one,it is ready to go.

Besides, im planning on some more ground object,mainly modern era stuffs.Wheels, Helis, etc.

Below is a pic of ZTZ-99A, it has similar firepower and protection to M1A2:

Below is a pic of Mengshi CSK-131,I plan to make it as an airport decoration.:

I want to make a MH-60 mod for a long time, maybe call it Project B-Team I guess, and maybe not just make it ground object but also a functional bird?

It is possible, but helicopter fm in sf2 make me headache.

And then "B-Team" may include MH-47,Z-20,Z-9 some more series, of course.

God,I need moooooooooooooooooore then 2 weeks.

are you talking a fresh model, or looking at adjusting the H-60 model floating around here from angelP?

as to FM's talk to guruu or yakarov79. theyre the resident rotary experts

and if you made a non DAT H-47..... :clapping:the Z-9 would be wickked too since its just a few steps to make a Dauphin from there....

Yeah but even then I go to Turbo Squid to find something I want too and used a few of their models for projects for a couple of games. It's not a matter of laziness but being economical with time lol

So start from UH-60A, a free source from FAB.

I'll probably do some expand modelling based on it to include flare/chaff dispensers, A2A refueling tube, terrain-following/terrain avoidance radar balabala.

So far,I referenced a data.ini for a UH-60, I can't remember where I got it from as it was so long ago, but it has a USN skin, I think you guys will have a clue. Anyway, it works fine, even if it's still pretty crappy to operate(it's bcuz of the game, not mod itself).

I think I'd rather let the AI fly it ,and I could fly F-15E or in COIN missions the MH-60 DAP (maybe AH-60 which already there) and escort them to the mission objectives.

btw , I am a fan of US Special Operation Forces,so I also plan to make a 160th SOAR pilot mod when I make the MH-60L/M (if I can), you know,black helmet and gleaming AVS-6/9...

Would it be a big step to get a Z-20 from this model too?

I'd like to, and actually have some idea about it.:cool:

But maybe not all the details are as simple as 4 rotor blade to 5 rotor blade, I'll see what I can do

I don´t think that this trick will ever work, but worth to try:

[MissionData]
NationName=SOVIET
ServiceStartYear=1955
ServiceEndYear=1980
GroundObjectRole=TANK    <----------------- change to AIRCRAFT
Availability=VERY_COMMON
Exported=TRUE
ExportStartYear=1956
ExportAvailability=VERY_COMMON

Now the gunners SHOULD engage ground targets. In theory...

Don't bother, that's not how this works. GroundObjectRole=AIRCRAFT does not exist in the DLL, it's not a valid value: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/91802-question-about-the-ground-object-role-function/?tab=comments#comment-742353

Simply put, TK programmed the aircraft's gunners to aim at other aircraft, ignoring anything that is not an aircraft. Without source code, nothing can be done about it.

There is actually a way to do this, I have seen it in the YAP campaign pack. Change the ground objects to aircraft objects, the door gunner will shoot them, but it will only be a visual effect.

Now 3 new crew mods, 1 for pilots, 2 for gunners(left and right), I found a free low poly model looks similar to HGU-56,so I port to the game, enough for the looking I guess. Of course I still need to remove this weird glossiness.

Besides, "The external features of the UH-60L model were essentially unchanged from the “A” model", and  as far as I know, only very very early 60As dosent hava HIRSS, so personally I don't want one more standalone variant unless someone really need one.I would probably just differentiate them(A/L) by different values in DATA.ini.

My next step is MH-60L/60L DAP, with or without refueling probe.I do like later MH-60Ms but to many modeling work to do.

So yeah,SOAR's hawk, still need to investigate their correct number, other aspects, so far so good...

Following SUDNAVY's suggestion, I'm trying to add a "static" aircraft, named "Gunner Target", that is completely invisible, but the AI gunner will recognize and fire at it.

I imagine it could be used in pre-made missions, placed next to ground targets like troops, so that the AI gunner would appear to be strafing the ground, and maybe even hit these "real targets".

I guess there maybe is as site dedicated to the serial numbers of SOAR birds, but realistically you need to find a lot of photos and try and get them from there. But after a quick Google search you're better off making your own and so on.

joe baughers site would be good for that. it wont necessarily say which ones were in the 160th, but nobody else flies MH-60Ls

its all in how you look for it

You got a link to that site?

Yeah really, I don't hunt for serial numbers at all. I mean most of my skins have the same BuNo near the engines. I don't care but if I can use it for A3 then maybe I can do something with it.

Besides looking at the site shows that you can't do US Army, so I'll keep it around just in case I feel like looking stuff up.
