ravenclaw_007 Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 i´m working on other projects and have very little time to get my 4096 x 4096 templates done , very slow progress on the front gear well and front gear door 15
ndicki Posted March 11 Posted March 11 That is REALLY incredible work - I don't think I've ever seen anything so precise. 1
ravenclaw_007 Posted Sunday at 10:45 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:45 PM (edited) something that really anoid me from the beginning with the SF2 F-4`s was that the front missile well´s are wrong ( to short ) , with the AIM-7 Sparrow loaded in the front missile wells there was allways the problem that the missiles wings colliding with the splitter plate and the missle rear sticking in the lower fuselage with the AIM-7 Sparrow made by me ( correct dimensions something TW has a problem with ) i solved the issue with the splitter plate bud the missile rear still collided with the fuselage like on the picture below the only solution to this problem was to extend the missile well to the rear in to the lower left and lower right fuselage objects , and i had to change the templates for the skin 2 , 3 and 5 ( left wing , right wing , front fuselage ) after all that work the missile is now perfect in the missile well , no collisions anymore , just have to check how it works with the AIM-120 for the F-4F_ICE the changes / extention to the rear are not much in size but has an impact on the overall apearance problems like this take so much time to fix and are a pain in the a... , hope it is worth all the work Edited Sunday at 10:47 PM by ravenclaw_007 4 5
Flanker562 Posted Sunday at 10:57 PM Posted Sunday at 10:57 PM I mean I don't do that much like this with Arma 3, but I can understand the need to make it look right. Nice work though, even it was a pain in the ass. 1

Sundowner Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Just a thought....the rear end of those bays have something called "Flipper Doors" that close to create a smooth ramp type area to smooth the airflow when the wells are empty or as soon as the missile has been fired......just to complicate matters even more.. 2
