Did Anyone ever figured this out?
Erik replied to Jarhead1's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
Or more exact .... Our download system was recently updated which included new settings I was unaware of. Exactly the ability to limit simultaneous downloads. Before this setting was not an option it was hard coded to only allow one download at a time and left unconfigured it was allowing people with download accelerators to open hundreds of new simultaneous connections (read: users to MYSQL) to download segmented or multiple files. This overloaded MYSQL with users causing regular traffic to get MYSQL timeouts waiting on a new user to free itself up. Since I've now read the NEW manual the setting has been configured and we shouldn't see this happen again. I apologize it took me a few weeks to realize and attribute this to upgraded software. The server and MYSQL are running and have been configured for optimal use based on this site's demand. Let me know if you incur any more of these errors and thanks for letting me know about them. Well I prefer using my copy of Visual Studio it has an installer built in (VSI). I believe there are free copies of VSI avaiable from MicroSoft and last I remember it was available on the net as well. I've also used InstallShield before which isn't that bad. What I'm not sure about is the usefulness of either given the type of data, where it's being exported to, if any registry entries need to be updated etc (read either might be overkill). I'd rely on those that actually have done releases of this type and magnitude (read: what's easiest for the enduser) before I rely on my knowledge of application deployment. SourceForge is a great resource if they have what you need or you're able to find someone in the community with the knowledge they can impart on you. -

Really doesn't matter, when you have a release date just give yourself enough time to either snail mail it or transfer it and we'll work something out. There's plenty of possibilities and I'm sure we can make your involvement as comfortable as possible. Dave hide the single bright light and iron chair bolted to the ground. Ed make sure the water board stuff you used last week is put away too. Harold you're in charge of party favors. Good luck and happy modding. Oh yeah if you're going for a single executable you may want to look into cab files for compression. -

I fear no file, we can handle it's entire distribution if it came to that. -

Well that only raises only a thousand more questions, but I digress. As a gesture of good will it would be nice to see a collaboration, properly credited of course, and released on both sites. Sounds pretty fair if you ask me. :) -

Not to burst anyone's enthusiasm but why would you take all the work from here and publish it there? Little strange isn't it? -
hahahaha ... not so sure I'd want to be the pitcher though ... oh oh oh it's right up the middle ... Yoda is looking to the bullpen to see who's he's got left. Score remains top of the 4th no outs, no runs, and one vaporized.

For those working on the Ace Combat mod.
Erik replied to FastCargo's topic in Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
We've gotten about all the mileage out this that I think we can. Mistakes were made, we informed everyone about our policy, and it's all water under the bridge. That said we'll close this thread down so we can get back to enjoying what we're here for. Erik Thompson CombatACE.com -
Craig you should be proud of the support you've received and have given with your latest release. With that I hope everything can return to a more normal state of alert. I hope closing this thread will allow us all to get back to what we enjoy, some fun.

Yes - The Gallery supports video. Link to gallery above in menu and here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autocom=gallery

Could be an intentional design feature. Hopefully someone can answer this for you.

Ok ... getting back to why the uploads aren't working. What did you do Fubar to get the system to upload? Were you possibly trying to use a character in the filename that wasn't permitted? There really shouldn't be any reason that any registered user can't upload to the system. More specific information other than "upload failed" would be greatly appreciated. Erik

Well if CombatACE has upload problems we need to get them sorted out. So if we can work together to figure out what's wrong I'll be happy to fix it. I've never had any problems uploading to the site, but then again I've got a pretty good internet connection. Let's list the problems we've encountered here. Thanks for the help. Erik

The USAF tests their weapon systems and platforms for operational standards and design specs as C5 mentioned using this type of spray nozzle which is part of a PAWSS - Palletized Airborne Water Spray System. They can atomize water by sending bleed air cooled by ram air through the nozzle which mixes with the water for different conditions in simulated testing for ice, rain, and clouds. MIL-STD-210B details the specs for climate extremes and I believe 810C details the test methods if you're interested.

Good looking out using his pack as a shield. Damn straight he deserves a few pints on someone.

It's probably because not many are familiar with what you're talking about. You might try looking here: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&...amp;m=614108144

Use the attachment system below the editor (where you type). Upload an image, then click the plus sign next to the image when it's uploaded to add it into a post (post = thread). You can also use the gallery see link on top menu bar above and post your images there, then link to them in posts (post = thread) by using the add image icon above the editor (where you type). The PM system and Forum system use the same editor so they work exactly the same.

Computer support is difficult because there are so many possibilities. DirectX is a core component of Windows and part of the Kernel, it's why I hate to offer advise... but When you run DirectX Setup, it looks for a newer version of DirectX. If a newer version appears to be installed on your computer, DirectX Setup displays the message "Setup was completed" and then does not install a copy of DirectX. If this happens, you can only install a version of DirectX that is newer than the one that appears to be installed. You can use dxdiag to check the current version installed on your computer. To verify that all DirectX files are installed Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type: dxdiag Click OK. Click the DirectX Files tab, and then look in the Notes box. If all DirectX files are present and undamaged, the Notes box reports "No problems found". If the diagnostic tool reports that any files are missing or damaged, reinstall DirectX from your Windows CD or install the latest version of DirectX from Windows Update. To go to the Windows Update Web site, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Update. Can you install the latest version of DirectX? Now if you still have problems you can download an offline distro from microsoft here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thankyo...displayLang=en# If you still have problems and DirectX is still reporting that "No problems found" in the notes box, then I might try reloading the OS. ** This information is user beware, I offer no support for crashing your OS. Always create a restore point before attempting any changes **

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en You've tried the above link and downloaded a new version of DX9.0c and installed it?

This has officially been upgraded to a "feature" not a "bug". I'll have a peek at the logs and see what's up.
