  1. Indeed! Kind of a longshot here, but I wonder, will the names of the crew members in multicrew aircraft, (observers-gunners), be listed in the Squadron Roster as well? Another thing that kind of bothered me, was the Zeppelin destruction... I found it kind of cartoonish! Please, I don't want to offend you, I know about the WiP state and that many effects are not final yet, but I guess we all have seen the destruction of the Hindenburg and how the fire consumes the skin, leaving the bare skeleton of the ship exposed... Is there a possibility to have such kind of effect in the final product?
  2. I think it's gonna be both...isn't it?
  3. Happy birthday, man! I wish for good health to you and your beloved ones!
  4. But everyone is equipped with British helmet-goggles combo... I would like to see German crash helmets (especially for the multiseater crews) and goggles, as well...
  5. I did notice that too (about the flying)... As already said I've been watching the video countless times, over and over again! Great work Pol! I agree with Olham about the P3 music theme. (If possible squeeze the old theme in P4 along with the new, masterly crafted, ones) While waiting for the release, the OFF logo gets a new meaning... "Between Heaven and Hell"
  6. I've downloaded the HD video and watching it over and over again... The environment looks strikingly amazing as well as the new OFF Manager screens!
  7. YES!!! Thanks, Pol!
  8. I downloaded IL-2 CloD (which is a bigger download), from GetGames for 12.49! It took sometime...I think I left it overnight, The download speed was at about 400 kb/sec... The additional comulative mod downloads aren't small either... It's worth the wait though. PS: Don't forget to patch 1946 to the latest version. It's a mandatory field in order to add mod packs. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forums/265/1/IL_2_Series_Downloads.html
  9. Yes, plus some other theatres too... What about some BoB action? (more stable than CloD) Masterpiece movie, tribute to BoB 1969 movie, by barfly: Or my favorite Mediterranean theatre: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WI9tDSaN4E&feature=autoplay&list=ULySDUjTKhc3k&lf=mfu_in_order&playnext=1 PS: Just saw your post... I'm afraid yes; you must have 1946. You can download it from GetGames for 2.49, everything else is charge free! For a game that covers everything in WWII plus Korea, with hundreds of flyable planes available, is ridiculusly cheap!
  10. Some more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn-PS0rzLdk&feature=related
  11. Yes of course, either dynamic or static, (based on historical events), not to mention for practically every side involved!
  12. IMO, install IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 instead... (If you don't have it you can get it for €2.49 from Getgames) http://www.getgamesgo.com/category/Flight-simulation and mod it with UP.3 (Ultra Pack) http://ultrapack.il2war.com/index.php for additional mods you can go to SAS modding site : http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php I personaly, use DBW (Dark Blue World) mod, from there, on UP.3 (specified for offline play) the best way to go... PS: this way you can practically fly in every theatre of WWII, even Korea, with a mix of early jets and prop planes. Check out this Dynamic Campaign for UP.3/DBW by my friend Boelcke from A&A Paintworks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96ameN7aKUE
  13. Thanks for the review Jarhead, I would like to have given it a look, but now I won't bother register... I prefer the IL-2 series for WWII anyway... Moreover in it's current highly modded form! Here's a couple of Tainan Group pilot skins I've done lately: (I agree about CFS2, though... What a blast those days!)
  14. Do not forget the overhauled AI with tactical awareness implemented and as result the realistic outcomes of dogfights!
  15. Here is a detail of the rifle, for you, SirMike... Hugault pays much attention to little historical details.... sometimes though, minor details may portrayed erroneously, like the color of the tapes on the lower lozenge fabric camo of this Alb. D.III (OAW) (should have been light blue for OAW Werke not salmon for Johannisthal Werke). In fact I think he has done his research but has been mislead by the same choice of tapes by the Vintage Aviator May's D.Va, replica...as the leading edge tapes seem to be of the correct color!
  16. Here is some more piece of info from the publisher site. The normal version of the first tome would cost 13.00 € and the de luxe one 120.00 € http://www.paquet.li/bd/catalogue/326-le-pilote-l-edelweiss-1
  17. Going to be released in January 18th... http://romain-hugault.blogspot.com/2011/11/le-pilote-ledelweiss.html
  18. I can't see the video...
  19. Searching for something else, WWI related, I accidentally bumped onto this very interesting thread: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/2411-the-story-of-a-german-pilot-of-wwi/ Some unique photos and documents in there...
  20. Thanks for the reply Makai, also thanks for the efforts and devotion as noted by Olham as well! I checked my books too and I still believe that the wood grain should be toned down a bit, but it's such a minority report to be ever considered as a mistake anyway...
  21. Indeed, great details there! Only the wood grain on the D.II looked a bit overdone to me... I kind of liked better the more subtle approach on the D.V series.
  22. Well in my local store, CloD's price, (boxed), is still 39.99 € I got a d/l version from GetGames. And yes Widow, there is some CloD modding around... not in the scale of old IL-2, I must admit, but things are a bit more complicated now! As a matter of fact I have started to extract hard-codded stuff to develop a skins and markings Mod, for the Jagdwaffe, as well as a pilot mod, myself. Some things are not as accurate as I was expecting them to be...
