    splendid skins. perhaps 7eleven, as i would like the TPS scheme. VA-27 on the Coral Sea used this paint in the early 80s. well before desert storm. by the time i was on the Coral Maru they had the mace on the tail for the TPS scheme. i would be delighted if you did both but not marked for the Carl Vinson please.     Cool shot of a Haze Stratos. Amazing. When i heard skis i was thinking floats, seaplanes, pontoons, and helos with boat hulls doing water landings or opening a rear cargo door for a zodiac extraction. Good thread Gruppe. CL

    Of course i was cheering for the F6F reading thru the story. Last time i drove past mohave was the last time i saw an F-4E in SEA paint. it appeared it was being set up as a target. One can find some metal and canopy fragments from the Flying Wing wreck that changed the name of Lake Muroc. I believe their are some bits of a P-61 out there also. I miss Palmdale, Pearblossom, Littelrock, Bigrock, plant 42, and Landscatter. CL
