  1. Interesting, but the AI can't use the additional axis generated...try it, you'll notice it yourself. FC
  2. Been there, done that. Now, show us pitch linked upward thrusting engines. NOT using the thrust vectoring controls. And with the initial thrust axis at zero degrees. FC
  3. Solved the issue: I was correct, the LoadLimit is the problem. By the picture you uploaded, you are using Stations 5 and 7 to carry your weapons, which have a 750 kg LoadLimit But the LoadLimit you were quoting were from Station 5a and 7a, which have a 2000kg LoadLimit. Which I'm using here as you can see. So, 2 ways to solve this...one, add TLR, EOGR to Stations 5a or 7a, OR increase the LoadLimits on Stations 5 and 7. Note, this will NOT solve the issue of the sim using the wrong TLR rack, that is a sim code issue. You can solve it with a custom weapondata.ini/dat file, but it would require a LOT of work. I can explain if you are curious. FC
  4. Disregard the advice just given by rscsjsuso5. He did not do the work up front to realize that the 2 models discussed are the same model, one is slightly further along in development, but BOTH of them have the same issue. FC
  5. Damn Lexx...I actually agree with you for once! Also, the satiric movie you are thinking of is Hot Shots. That I laughed my ass off...but it's not a serious movie, so that's okay! "Roger Chilly Willy Milli Vanilli..." FC
  6. I've had to stop watching most aviation related movies, because they mostly suck...especially the ones that try to take themselves seriously. For instance, I was all prepared to watch "Behind Enemy Lines" on TV, and then I watched the opening missile evasion sequence...yea, that was it for me. Stealth...yea, didn't even consider watching that one. In fact, most aviation related movies suck as far as at least TRYING to get the details right or at least plausible...and those that do get it right are dull as toast... And before anyone accuses me of rivet counting...nothing of the sort, just they should at least get the basics plausible... FC
  7. Hmmmm...I'm a little stumped on this one. It should work...DiameterLimit and LengthLimit shouldn't be an issue if you can get 3 on there. I can tell you why it tries to use the stock TLR, but not why it's acting like this.... Kind of bugs me because I'm the creator of the SDBs, the BRU-61, and did the weapon stations on the XL. FC
  8. I don't know about GMax in that I normally work with 3ds MAX. As far as the holes thing, I usually just do a boolean as simple as possible...I find the more complicated the cut, the more screwed up/unpredictable the results. I was thinking something similar to what someone else said about the cowling...make just one side of the cowling with the holes, then copy and extrude the copy. Flip the normals and reattach to the original cowling mesh. Then weld verticies (0.001 spacing) and you're done. Again, I don't know gMax or OFF/CFS3 require the models, but I work only in Editable Poly and I can do everything I can do in Editable Mesh and more. FC
  9. Actually, it could be a weight issue. There may be a LoadLimit associated with those pylons that only allow a certain amount of total weight. In fact, based on which pylons you are using, that probably is the issue. FC

As someone who's given their share of incentive rides, a few observations. 1) With any person riding with me who isn't an aviator, I give them the full brief, show them how to use the puke bag, how to double bag it, how to keep it easily accessible, how to quickly disconnect the mask, and how to not to 'John Wayne' it. In other words, if you think you're going to puke, let me know early, go on 100%, and get your bag ready...do not try to man up, because you will look that much stupider if you puke IN your mask...because it will immediately blow back on your face, clog your outlet value (which may cause the spew to blow out the seals) and cover yourself. And, because you didn't use the bag properly, you get to clean up ALL of it...the cockpit, the seat and all the equipment. 2) If the ride is for the person (orientation, incentive, etc), I keep the profile to what the person is interested in. If they want a tour, they get a tour...if they want acro, they get acro. And with every manuver, I ask to make sure they're ready...I don't deliberately try to make people sick or aggravate the situation if they do get sick...because I have to listen to it and smell it. Usually, as soon as they get sick, I'll make like an airliner for home, unless they don't want me to (I've had a few incentives who would puke, tie off their bags, wipe themselves and immediately say 'lets do it again!'...hard core!). 3) For 'sandbag' sorties, it's a bit different. Sometimes we get 2Lt's who are awaiting a pilot training slot. The USAF doesn't have a job immediately available, and so they'll sit at a flying base for a few months doing odd jobs for the squadron. We usually will try to get them on a flying status, so that they can fly on a non-interference basis (ie a pit opens up, and there are no student or IP sorties that can be flown). Where it can be a pain is if the sortie is part of a formation, and the other aircraft is doing student training. At that point...the 'sandbagger' is kind of on his own. Basically, student training takes priority, and if that means the 'sandbagger' has to spend most of the sortie in the 'bag'...well, sucks to be him. 4) I've never understood the person who likes making folks puke...man is a 1.0G, 10 mph, 2 dimensional creature...moving in 3 dimensions at 300+ knots from -2 to 6+ Gs is bound to make him/her uncomfortable. Why do that...flying is supposed to be fun (plus, it probably won't help you get laid if you make the target of your affections violently ill)... FC
  11. If it won't run at all, check that you are running in Windows 98 Compatability Mode (I assume you have XP at least). This thread will help explain it: http://forum.combatace.com/topic/26134-fix-for-weapon-editor-that-doesnt-run-in-some-systems/ FC

  13. Never a fan of cutting holes in meshes, so I'm not the person to ask. As for your shadows though, that's an easy fix. Most of the time with polygons, anything with more than 3 vertices that is not in microscopic perfect alignment, or if it abuts a shape that is out of plane, will result in those shadows. The best way I have found to fix those is to either connect those vertices (in other words, divide your 5 sided polygon into several triangles) or take the shape that is out of plane and make it a separate element. Usually when I connect vertices, I'll tend to do it crosswise to the shadow. In your case, I would connect the upper left and lower center vertex, and connect the lower center vertex with the upper right vertex. Try that and then smooth. FC
  14. Damn Stick, that almost looks like a photograph! FC
  15. Generally, the answer is yes. I have a tri boot install with Win 7 64 and Win XP 32 bit. The number of applications I can't get to run in Win 7 64 I can count on one hand...and the majority of those were games that were designed for Win95/98. FC
  16. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gldlyTjXk9A FC
  17. Please disregard all of Eject's info. He did not spend enough time reading the topic, otherwise he would have figured out your question was for Falcon 4: Allied Force. As far as your 'Unlimited Weapons' problem, hopefully someone more versed than me can give you the proper answer. FC
  18. Welcome back! FC
  19. If you want to see how to add a waypoint counter to the HUD, check the F-15C models AVIONICS.INI files...they'll show you right there. Far as the HUDcolor thing goes, adjusting those numbers as Crusader said should work for any aircraft using Avionics70.dll. Just tested it myself. FC
  20. Topics moved and merged. FC
  21. Did you try running the install in compatability mode? FC
  22. The LOD file is mismatched to the data.ini for that aircraft. In other words, that's the wrong 3D model. That's why you have no skins and all the stuff is in the wrong position. FC
  23. Don't have any beef with the iPhone, just in general I don't know if there is a big enough market for something in-between an iPhone and a netbook. FC
  24. Well, usually with something like this...it's because it has no landing gear defined in the data.ini. FC
