Hi Storm and Mako69 Thanks for your replies. Have done some more searching on the internet and in the KB here(should have looked here first!), and as far as I can tell the wing pylons were for bombs or tanks. I think the four sidewinder loadout included 2 under the fuselage and as Wrench points out they were not used much because of the low ground clearance and damage to the seaker heads. So going with Wrench Air to Air just has to wingtip sidewinders and long range Air To Air has Wingtip sidewinders and wing drop tanks. Cheers Snapper 21

I would like to put my name forward for the F-104C-10 and F-104D-10

Am setting up my F-104C-10 for my SF2 Vietnam install. Have added Starfighters cockpit and all looks well. My question is about the weapon loadouts for this plane. In the readme and on the web it says they carried 4 sidewinders, does this mean 2 wingtip and 2 on the wing rails? Most of the pictures I can find just show wingtip fuel tanks, so I am wondering if the F-104 in Vietnam had dual Sidewinder rails? Any help much appreciated. Cheers Snapper 21

For the Mirage Factory A-7 A and B versions use the same fix as posted for the C,D and E versions Extract the following files from WOV ObjectData.CAT and copy into the A-7 cockpit folder in WOV 2. F-4E_ATTITUDE2.BMP F-4E_GAU3.BMP F-4E_HUDGLASS.TGA F-4E_HUDREFLECTION.TGA F-4E_PANEL.BMP

Thanks Raptor team, beautiful plane. Love the automatic doors. Cheers Snapper 21

Hi Dave Have downloaded the file twice, and tried extracting the files a couple of times. Each time the F-111A aircraft folder only has a couple of empty folders in it. The rest of the versions seem to have all the files in them. Cheers Snapper 21

Hi I am looking at replacing my Saitek ST290 with a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X PS3 (PC Compatible). And was wondering if anyone uses this controller and can tell me what you think of it. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-T-Flight-Hotas-PS3-compatible/dp/B001DMUCAC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1244285667&sr=1-1) My reasons for wanting to buy this controller are as follows. Its cheap, would love to be able to spend £80 to £110 on an X52 but can't justify that sort of money. Also the Thrustmaster seems to have enough buttons on the stick. My set up at the moment is being able to select next air to air and air to ground weapon, speedbrakes, cockpit view and firing selected weapons. I want to be able to launch chaff and flares as well, as reaching for the keyboard in combat is a pain. The Thrustmaster also looks a reasonable size, I don't have the room to have a controller on my desk. If anyone has used the Thrustmaster, please can you let me know what you found out. B-57G Canberra cockpit if you are using the upgrade by Tannethal you will need to copy the F-4B_Cockpit.LOD from the WOV objects.CAT. To use the original cockpit copy the image F-4E_ATTITUDE.bmp from the WOV objects.CAT RB-57E Canberra cockpit This also needs the F-4E_ATTITUDE.bmp from the WOV objects.CAT

Thanks very much Will have a beer for all of you

Well hopefully the Modders will one day have the time and energy to go back and add these features. Till then I will just make early and late models. Thanks for all your replys. I realised when I bought WOV2 that there would be a bit of fiddling around, am trying to work out as much as possible myself. I just hope my questions are not to stupid. Cheers Snapper 21

No don't think they are, didn't know they had to be part of the plane. Oh well plan B, create early and late versions of the Voodoo. Thanks for the reply Gr.Viper

Well I tried, but just can't get this to work, so if anybody does have colur matched Voodoo tanks could the post there data files. Cheers Snapper21

Okay I wanted to try and use the new feature where you put the tank skin in the aircraft skin folder, so you get the tank for the right skin. Am trying to do this on the brilliant RF-101C. Now the plane comes with three skins, and each drop tank has its own lod ie F101_450Tank_Green.LOD. metal and grey etc. So I created a generic tank called Tank450_F101. I know this works because the plane loads everytime with drop tanks. The thing I cant get it to do is look for the tank skin in the aircraft skin folder. The other thing I was going to do was, as the Green.Lod when I open it in notepad has the line F101_450Tank_Green.BMP at the bottom I was going to copy the metal and grey tank skins to there respective skin folders and rename them Green. Thinking that the Lod looks for that bmp name, is that right? Anyway have included the weapon data and aircraft data, if anybody can see where I am going wrong. Has anybody got a unmodified WOV2 install? If so in your *:\Documents and Settings\*****\My Documents\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam\Objects folder do you have a decals folder? Reason I ask, is that have been reading the readme with with the 509FIS skin for the F102 by 331KillerBee and it explains how decals work, I've been doing it wrong and need to start again. Thing is I can't remember if I copied that folder in there and can I delete the contents! Cheers Snapper 21

For the Mirage Factory A-7 C,D and E versions Extract the following files from WOV ObjectData.CAT and copy into the A-7 cockpit folder in WOV 2. F-4E_ATTITUDE2.BMP F-4E_GAU3.BMP F-4E_HUDGLASS.TGA F-4E_HUDREFLECTION.TGA F-4E_PANEL.BMP If people find this helpful I will continue to add to this post as I transfer planes over. Otherwise if the non modders like me have got the basic idea will let you all get on with it. Cheers Snapper21

Well I feel on a roll now So for the RF-101C you need to extract the following files from WOV ObjectData.CAT into the RF-101C cockpit folder in WOV 2. F-4E_GAU3.BMP A-4BGAU1.BMP A-4E_GAU5.BMP Cheers Snapper 21

Well, good grief I think I have fixed it, just shows you can teach and old dog new tricks . With bpao help, I found the missing image. I now get this. The images I extracted from WOV ObjectData.CAT into the RF-4C Cockpit folder in WOV 2 are F-4E_ATTITUDE2.BMP F-4E_ATTITUDE.BMP F-4E_COWL.BMP F-4E_GAU1.BMP F-4E_GAU2.BMP F-4E_GAU3.BMP F-4E_GAU4.BMP F-4E_GAU6.BMP F-4E_MIRROR.BMP F-4E_PANEL2.BMP F-4E_PIT1.BMP F-4E_radarPPI.bmp F-4E_REFLEC1.TGA F-4E_REFLEC2.TGA F-4E_RWR.BMP I think thats fixed it, off to check. Cheers Snapper 21

Well I had an idea, I copied the Cockpit.lod to my desktop, opened it in notepad. Most of it I couldn't read but if I scrolled down to the bottom I started to find image names. So copied these to the cockpit folder. Doing it this way meant I only copied 13 files across as against 39 when I created the picture in my first post. But getting the read outs for the true speed and fuel quantity etc seem to be beyond me at the moment. Cheers Snapper21

Hi guys and girls Am trying to get the Mirage Factory RF-4C into WOV2, am having a little problem with the cockpit. So my theory here is, that some items in the original WOV.cat are not in the new version, or not in the same place in WOV2. So started to extract files from original WOV and place them in the cockpit folder in WOV2. And this is what I have so far. So my questions are, has any one got the time to give me a list of images and files needed ? Or better still, could tell me what file calls for these images? I have looked in the cockpit.ini but can't find any link between the file and the images needed. Unless I am being blind Thanks for your help Snapper21

So there was a bright light coming from behind, thought to myself somethings not quite right!
