  1. Sending good thoughts your way. Take care of yourself and your family.
  2. Fantastic story! Thank you very much for opening up and sharing. Rock on!
  3. We got lucky here in Omaha as well. The Northern Lights are really impressive. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
  4. To give TK some credit, he did give us the P-51D as a flyable prop plane which gave modders a starting place for WWII aircraft and some folks here have done some amazing work for that era. You can put yourself together some very nice WWII action but you need to invest some time into researching, downloading and installing the various mods. But, yes, IL-2 and CFS3 were built as WWII sims from the ground up and have the advantages of things like multiple crew positions. I like both as well with IL-2 taking a slight advantage as it covers more theaters. CFS3 by default is a European Theater sim. The other great thing about IL-2 1946 is you can get it at GOG.COM for a song. There are some really well done mods for both IL-2 and CFS3. One of my favorites is Mediterranean Air War (MAW) for CFS3. It looks like it is still available here. http://www.mrjmaint.com/MAW1.31/ Apply your usual cautions to downloading files from anywhere. These files were good the last time I did a download but things change.
  5. Spitfire? I see camo on the nose. (Or I'm just seeing things....a real possibility) What ever it it I don't think that's a stock cockpit for the time frame you mention.
  6. Looks like a good time. I've been lucky enough to get ride in a Ford Trimotor. You don't see a lot of airliners these days with wood interiors.
  7. Is this a stock A-4 and would that make any difference? What INIs did you change on the jets that work and is there a significant difference in the A-4 INIs. I'm just looking at this as an IT software tech support issue and the first thing I always checked is basic differences in configurations. It sure looks like the sim at least recognized the 3D object definition. What INI parms are used to determine object location and size? I'm assuming you don't want it to show up without some sort of animation trigger? I am NOT a 3D guy :(. Just brainstorming...............................
  8. The truly sad thing is I think SF3 would be a day one buy for a lot of folks. Updated graphics, current generation avionics, keep the mod friendly design.......... I'm in.
  9. I have plenty of backup space across multiple devices. I'll take my chances on keeping a local backup. I'm old fashioned.
  10. Yes. Very curious what's going on here. I do realize TW is a unique company but the fear of something like this happening is why I really don't like "internet required" stuff. Can you imagine what would happen if this was Steam or DCS? I know you can argue that Steam and DCS are bigger, more robust companies that could never fail but you could have said that about Pan Am, Circuit City, among others......................................................................... On the other hand I do hope TK is OK and this is just a temporary technical glitch. (I'm also very glad I got around to purchasing SF2 Complete and have several backups of the install file.......)
  11. DA, not sure I am following this part of your comment................
  12. Well, we are a world wide organization after all. And that's not a bad thing. Qapla'!
  13. No worries, bro. I got ahead of myself and stumbled a bit. All good.
  14. I will step away. Just trying to help. I would go with the advice from Wrench.
