  1. Tomcat on russian carrier

    Dude......................that was beautiful. Well done.
  2. Mirage 2000 over Baltic

    These are absolutely fantastic!!!!
  3. Right now i use a 37" TV as my monitor, and I love it. I too can be further from the screen and still see everything I need to. I scaled back from 46" due to it eating up too much space on my desk.
  4. 2 Megatons oughta do it quite nicely, and rather quickly.
  5. Russian carrier ops video

Catapult my Aunt Fanny!!! Who needs em? Let's just crank it up and brute force it off the deck. Great video.
  6. 'Getting awfully quiet around here...

I think it's been a trying year for most of us, and it's caused a lot of us to have to reevaluate a LOT of things with a new level of seriousness. At least, that's my answer. I'm at a decision crossroads for a great many things now, as I suspect are a LOT of us. I haven't given up on up the hobby that splits being my favorite (tied with reading), but for the present, R/L holds sway, and we'll have to see where things go from here.
  7. Uh ... Oops. Explosion on Plane

I'm sure I was not the only one laughing my a$$ off at this. And then I let my mind visualize it...........................and promptly laughed even harder. I loved this one.
  8. A Pretty Bit of Coding...

I was already impressed with what I was seeing. I was watching the tri-motor lumber across the horizon and expecting it to get jumped, but when I saw the t-34's in the trees, I figured it would get good. I was not disappointed. I LOVED the ambush!! The level of detail in this game is outstanding; watching shrapnel fly off the vehicles in big chunks from a cannon hit was truly awesome to behold. And then it got better. I was open-mouthed at the Stuka cannon run. That was just a thing of beauty. Once again, I'm struck by the sense of...........vastness you feel when watching the video. You have gotten me hooked....
  9. A Pretty Bit of Coding...

That was impressive. In fact, the entire scene was well done. I especially like the fact that it was staged just at sunrise, and there was still fog hanging around the countryside. And it gave the impression of flying over a very large area. This was just a great clip, and caused me to go watch some others.
  10. ID the cars from Film and TV

This was fun. I missed a few (I'm not a big TV fan) that were obvious in hindsight, but I was so proud of myself for getting Ash's Oldsmobile from "The Evil Dead."
  11. Darts Vs Vipers

    Great Story!!
  12. DDay Then and Now

Thank You Sir, for these photos. It is indeed impressive.
  13. I'm a Super Pack Fan, for the number of choices afforded by them.
  14. In a subject that should be a dead issue, we get this last piece of insulting "literature."
  15. continuing for a bit..

I was thinking that I might pick it up as well. From what I have seen of it, it's some serious eye-candy, and I DO like Harriers. I also have the early access jitters, but I took a chance on the 1st version of SF, and have never regretted it. Who knows, I might catch lightning in a bottle for the 2nd time.
  16. That is a spectacular photo
  17. Just..... After looking at some of these shots, I feel like Luke Skywalker riding a tricycle into the Deathstar trench..completely out of my league. But, here I am playing with my very own Brazilian Wax-Job......
  18. Going into enemy territory is always a dangerous proposition. When you have to go in deep and unarmed with nothing more than a set of cameras and extra fuel, the pucker factor climbs. It all pays off when you catch them unawares.
  19. Heavy Metal Ninja. I loved flying over the thick SAM's in the Korea (V3) terrain, and just ghosting in to the target.
  20. I have a thing for Intruders in bad weather....they are so much fun to fly
  21. You have my undivided attention and total interest in this development.
  22. Nice to see "They Hate You" in the game...(from being stationed at Incirlik back in the bad old days)
  23. From someone NOT a modder or a skinner, I'll throw my cards into the game. For me, it becomes an obsession when it starts to dominate the majority of your time, and other things that are important to the process of your REAL LIFE are pushed to the margins. It becomes an obsession when the things that matter are subordinated to what is considered "fun", and the "fun" becomes indistinguishable from the everyday drudgery that you went looking for the "fun" to get away from. You gentlemen do astonishing work, and you probably don't hear nearly enough of just how MUCH it is appreciated. But I can see where you could get burned out on it, for awhile, possibly permanently. I would say they you (and you alone) know when that distinction has been reached, and if you need to step away and go fishing. So from over here in the flatlands, I would hope you never let this become an obsession that causes you to put away your modeling tools; and if I have to wait the proverbial "2 weeks" while you take the time to work out your OCD issues , or just take a break to attend to the REALLY important things (Women, cars, Women), like family, I think we can respect that, and wait. And the ones that can't, can wait with the rest of us. Hope this made sense.
