    Heh... I also was thinking about a Community Manual. Stock plane flight profiles, systems operation, instruments, weapons, combat tactics, AI handling tips, adding mods etc All in colour and with optional pdf version. Would be cool if it came with a bottomless fuel tank.

    Stock planes rarely flame out. By the time I get to the speed that overheats F-4 engines I usually run out of fuel. Once took Thud to M2.1 in level flight, saw overheat warning but no damage.

    IIRC, the BBC lost nearly all of their Moon landing coverage. Magnetinc tape was expensive until the late 70s a lot of master copies were wiped and re-used.

    I've been getting this with Firefox in the forums. In a few cases "New messages" icon shows up even after I've read it. And pale "No mesages" was marking a thread with new replies several times. Not an pandemic or serious bug, but started to happen only recently. I think it's more for bug report section.

    Among other stuff, I think, I did report to TK that there are no A-7 squdrons im campagins. I hope he fixes with Israel release/update and a standalone patch later on. Could be fun to see A-7 vs SA-8

    Ground avoidance seems fixed by the latest SF2E patch.

    I once had a wingman who crashed his Crusader after catapult take off. Even enemies get that in their air forces. With hilarious consequences.

    Modern jet airliner pilot. Just add a newspaper covering the windows to block the sunshine. Tu-154 crews do it Strangely enough, a search on da Pirate Bay results in no hits for the SF2 series at all. Must have something to do with low profile and the fact that serious cracker groups don't deal with no-DRM games.

    Scan system for viruses. It could be starting some program and then shutting it down quickly. I had something like that that would start invisible internet explorer for a second and then disappear.

    Same applies to F-15. +the faster you go the greater the fuel flow.

    The game selects proper skin automatically if available but there's no green texture in the game folders so far. Still, nothing a patch couldn't fix. :yes: I think you'll see different tanks in different years. Maybe in different tank units. All SF2:E stock campaigns start with all-out Soviet offensive but if you survive long enough you'll see blue tanks attacking.

    Centurions only have tan camo for now, but I hope they'll be fixed. Soviet air defences were all tan when SF2:V was released

    I think cockpit shadows are enabled when the plane has OpenCockpit=true set in it's data files. TK might turn pit shadows on for all aircraft at some point.

    ...or one plane is an uber-ultra-high-res model while the one flying next to it is a simpler model designed for older PCs and game engine. Spoils the atmosphere sometimes, doesn't it. The very reason I mostly fly stock setup - they all look more or less the same. Even Soviets are getting a gradual facelift in the remakes.

    Yes, but it is the 37mm on MiG-17 that tends to make missions very lively.
