  1. I have a lightning fast Pentium 4 Extreme Edition which blew anything else out of the water when I first got it. Now it has been (slightly) overtaken by Intel Dual and Quad Cores, but it still does the job nicely. Next to that, 2 GB RAM, a 7.1 Soundblaster and an NVidia 8800 with 1GB memory. It is all packed in a neat and very silent Shuttle system, so not bulky and noisy. Yeah, that's my toy!
  2. Hahaha, Silverbolt. It is correct. The Pulqui and Pulqui II were also Tank designs, but not well known to the public. The HAL Marut however is, and is battle proven against Pakistan in several skirmishes between '63 and '85. So, it is yours Silverbolt. Take it away!!! Muesli PS: I know that book, that Gunston guy made a lot of funny stuff up in his "career".
  3. Actually lindr2, there was another, better known aircraft, which he designed. The Pulqui didn't make such a great name for itself. Better luck!
  4. Means I get to pop the question, right??!! Ok, here it is: What was Kurt Tank's best known post-war aircraft design?

  6. Oof! That makes it difficult. I simply followed the UberAI thread and followed the instructions. The problem I had was mentioned there, as was the solution. As for yours, dunno mate. Sorry!
  7. They called it the Su-19...
  8. @klavs81: I am very very very impressed! Maybe you will find the time to finally bring out the B-1B one day??!!
  9. Nope, didn't work.....BUT!!!!!!!!!!!! It is solved now! I took the effort to look at the topic regarding the UberAI file and the errors it presents and found my answer there..... UberAI gone, problem gone! Thanks all! Muesli
  10. Here kitty kitty kitty!!!!! Yet another "red" bird I wanna fly!!
  11. Hey all, Recovering from a big data loss recently I am now rebuilding my collection and installing it in WOI. All works nicely, but....... Although the control.ini file in the control folder is correct, and I can alter the keyboard and joystick functions to my every wish, the problems start ingame. It seems all my commands on keyboard and joystick get mixed and end up at other places. I normally use the standard key functions, but all are changed..... What seems to be the problem? Replacing the control.ini file with a fresh one doesn't work, unplugging the joystick doesn't work... Anyone? Thanks in advance! Muesli
  12. Hello forum companions! I want to thank you all in helping me recover from the forementioned small inhouse disaster. Especially Kirsten, Bounder, Dave but also all others who offered help, assistance, advice, files. You all ROCK! At this point I have about 75% of what I had, and I am quite happy I got this far. Now it is just a matter of tweaking and I can play as in my old days. I now have bought a 500GB external HD so after making a backup I hope this situation will never happen again! Muesli
  13. Cudo's!!
  14. DAMN 101tfs! I just installed your bird, and it is one hell of a plane! Cudo's for the work, if this is a beta I will eagerly await the release candidate! Thanks in advance! Muesli
  15. Two weeks probably!!
  16. Wow Lindr, you're quite busy! Keep up the good work!
  17. Nice, Wrench. Will do that rightaway and clean up my inscreen view! Cheers!
  18. Hello everybody. With painstaking patience, and after reading a lot of new tips on "how to", I will give the install of WOI a try and I will make an effort in trying to fit in as much content of SFP1.WOE and WOV as possible. I'll tell you all about it. I want to thank everybody who has reached out a helping hand in the forementioned matter, and I hope to get the game up and running again as I had it in the past. So, THANKS!!!
  19. @Viper6: Hope you find a way to make this work as best as you can! Salud! Muesli
  20. Just a question for you guys! As a complete analphabetic sim gamer I have always liked my combined install of SFP1/WOV/WOE. Lots of planes, lots of weapons and so on. With the appearance of WOI, and a recent crash of my PC, I was aiming on making a re-install with WOI as a basis and pumping a lot of data from the SFP1/WOV/WOE era to it. (1)Especially the Bunyap Weapons pack. Is there anyone who has managed to do this? I mean, I have asked several times what I had to do with my Weapons Editor (YES, it is the latest and YES I used the Win compatibility mode...) just NOT working despite all advice, readmes and tutorials. I now have a fresh WOI install and downloaded Bunyap's WP, guess what...... I still get stuck in the limited "standard" choices and the extra's don't show......despite readmes and tutorials...... I mean, I have a lot of LODs, a lot of weapon skin files, a Weapondata.ini file with more than 2500 items, and only a handfull show up ingame...... If there is no alternative, I would like to hear from one of the experts if it is possible to provide me with a ready-to-use weapondata.ini and weapondata.dat file which includes the bunyap and mirage weapons packs (you can PM me for an e-mail address) which you use yourself. In ZIP or Rar format is easiest I think. (2)All extra aircraft. I am getting some help retrieving the planes I had (thanks for the ones who helped me!) but will there be problems installing them in WOI. Are there things I have to take into account? As with the shadow files and with the "AircraftShortName" files?! Or do I have to use aircraft specificly designed for WOI? Advice is welcome! If all aircraft can be used, nice! For those wanting to point me to different pages on this forum; I know! I have wrestled through tons of stuff to get my stuff to work, I am not just a lazy S.O.B. trying to take a shortcut! Or did I do juzt a dumb and bad job buying WOI and should I go back to the good old SFP1/WOV/WOE days? With which I have to start all over again also..... ANybody feeling kind enough to help me out will earn my greatest and deepest respect! (For what that's worth) Muesli
