  1. Great looking menus Centurion! And looking forward to a new Orion.
  2. I'd say that the recently retired JAS 39A/Bs from Sweden or F-16A/B MLUs would suit Croatia's needs. Realistically though, I think Hawks or M-346s would be better for Croatia's budget. We're probably going to see those MiG-21s flying for a couple more years instead, I'd imagine.
  3. VMFA-115 (F-4Js) was actually at Keflavik for two weeks during Sept 1979 which is when Northern Sabre begins. I've been doing the same thing, upgrading the stock campaign as well as making a 1978 campaign (F-4Cs). It also appears that RAF No. 56 and 111 Squadrons spent some time at Keflavik in 1979. Anyone have details on that?
  4. Hey just thought I'd let you all know that there's an article in the March 2013 edition of the Smithsonian Air & Space magazine on Misty FACs and F-100s. It's got interviews with a few pilots and is a pretty good read.
  5. It's supplying me with F-4s and A-4s. It's only the F-8s that are missing. Everything else is showing up. I'll check the inis. Edit: Just ran the game again and I've got F-8s in SF2V now.
  6. Finally got SF2V and was looking forward to flying Crusaders over Hanoi, but they aren't in the campaign's aircraft drop down menu. Bad install? Did I miss something? Or did TK decide that we need the F-8K or F-8E(FN) DLC to unlock the Cruds?
  7. The SF1 Iran-Iraq mod had both countries flyable. It was fun trying to survive the Tomcat enslaught in a MiG-21 then going to the menu and switching to my Iranian campaign (and usually ending up getting shot down by an SA-2)
  8. Pretty sure you can also find the NTSB report on it
  9. Wishing we had a terrain with the Andes mountains

  10. If for some odd reason the Football War cannot be done on the map, I'll proceed with what-if scenarios.
  11. Looks like I'll be getting to work then. Capitiane, the order of battle would be much appreciated!
  12. The only relevant Mustang I found was this one in the SF1 files. http://combatace.com/files/file/8429-naa-p-51d-mustang-fuerza-aerea-salvadorena/
  13. I'm looking for a way to make weekends at AIT pass quicker so I figured I'd work on a campaign. So, would anyone be interested in a campaign for the short war between El Salvador and Honduras in 1969? It's often regarded as the last time piston engined aircraft engaged in combat against each other. Most of the aircraft that took place are already available in the downloads section, or atleast the Corsairs are.

Really looking forward to the Iran-Iraq mod. That's always been a favorite scenario of mine.
  15. Oh I'm sure it's just another F-5 underneath, knowing the Iranians.
  16. Hands are all cut up from working in the Chinook's heater closet

Well I've only been on the hangar floor for two weeks, but the Chinook has some really poorly placed parts. Everything in the heater closet, bulkhead, and cockpit are examples of that.

well the original design was from the 50s/60s. ergonomics wasnt the buzz word then and the newer models still go offa the classic frame...

  17. I'll donate when I get payed on Friday.
  18. There were a couple of badass females in my platoon in basic. They were able to shoot, run, push, lead, and ruck march as well as us males.
  19. Excellent move by the Navy.

  21. . It looked like a Hunter from the wings and basic fuselage shape. And no, I'm Army
  22. So I've been at AIT for a couple weeks now and I've seen what looks like a Hunter fly over post twice. It looked like it had external fuel tanks. Do any of the contractors like ATAC have Hunters?

    Back from BCT

So after 10 short weeks, I've completed my basic combat training for the US Army. But I'm now at the Fitness Training Company because I didn't pass the End of Cycle PT Test. I was close enough though that I'll be out and off to AIT soon. Apart from that, I actually had a rather good time, even in the gas chamber. Grenade training was probably my least favorite part. Anyway, just checking in. Still have no idea what's been going on over the past 10 weeks in the world and I'm sure I've missed out on a lot in the SF2 and DCS mods.
  24. The Balkans or South America would be cool.
  25. Derpy landings are all I can manage, so that's my callsign!
