  1. Nice looking battlewagons. Should we expect to see more in the future? Battleships were and always will be the coolest class of ships in my mind.
  2. I'm going to go back there after deployment with my SLR so I can get better pictures.
  3. Oh I'm sure there will be an exercise where Marine Harriers will have to conduct flight ops off the Hyuga due to "battlefield conditions" soon enough.
  4. There's an expansion of the expansion that includes the 1956 Suez Crisis. You need Expansion Pack 1 for it though. There might be more. Dunno. There's a Korean War campaign in the downloads as well.
  5. There's an Iran-Iraq War campaign currently in development. As far as I know it's just waiting on aircraft. There's a Falklands campaign and a 1966 Indo-Pak campaign. Both are in the downloads section.

    Cool Story

Awesome story. My dad had a '68 Impala as his first car, then I think a '71 or '72 after that. It'd be awesome to do this for him, but he totaled both cars. Maybe I could find his Fox Body...
  7. Once I get settled in downrange I'll be sure to subscribe again, even if I don't have access to the downloads.
  8. Didn't know you were ever at Ft. Riley. First Brigade?
  9. Went to the Combat Air Museum at Forbes Field in Topeka on Thursday. It's a small museum and a lot of the aircraft could use some restoration, but I enjoyed it. A lot of their aircraft have interesting histories. The Kansas National Guard Museum is also located there. I would have stopped and taken pictures of the displays there too, but my battery died. It was low already by the time I made it to the museum which explains the limited photos. Turns out they had an air show this weekend there, but I didn't attend. Wish I did.
  10. You had a Vega? How long did it last before rust set in?
  11. A racing fan but not a Formula 1 fan because of the politics, but this does look good.
  12. Doing it now. Don't have any installs right now (give it an hour and that'll change), but backing up my installers.
  13. Anything eburger has had a part in. I can't stress that enough. The follow on legacy support he provides to these campaigns is highly appreciated as well. I should also mention JonathonRL's Scandinavian Front and Formosa campaigns. There's more, but with the downloads still down I can't remember them all off the top of my head.

    Very true...

Woah woah woah, let's get some facts straight. It was Canadian Flankers from Swiss aircraft carriers during the Icelandic-Australian War of '72.
  15. I'd be willing to do it, only problem is my time is going to be limited for, oh, the next year or so. Put me down for VF-201 anyway. I'll do my best to post.
  16. Ok, fine what I meant was look at the pretty pictures.
  17. I really gotta start reading more books. Thanks Caesar! You also answered my next question which was going to be about the strike aircraft. I imagine RF-4Bs underwent similar DCM as well?
  18. I just rewatched Top Gun and that got me wondering. Did the school continue to train F-4 pilots after the F-14 became the primary fighter? How late into the F-4's career did pilots continue to be sent to the school?
  19. Great photos! Were there any F-4s among the visiting aircraft?
  20. Are you referring to safety wire (lock wire)?
