  1. I'm also of the oppinion that the original "Bond" Sean Connery is unbeatable, and second place goes to Tim Dalton. But Brosnan is a solid third, since most of his movies included the typical Bond franchise. IMHO I don't mind the Bond of the books being different from the Bond in the movie. I haven't read them all but Moore was the worst. IMHO Craig's flippant manner reminds me of Moore, so I don't like him that much, I prefer Dalton's dry style. Also, a Bond movie should include, of course the "My name is Bond, James Bond" line, the Martini shaken not stirred, Monneypenny's love, M's berating, and Q/R/(S?)'s gizmos, a super-villain with a BIG uber-evil machine/device that gets destroyed in the end, a combat-car that is built to destroy things rather than just weave through traffic and bring Bond from place A to B, oh, and last but not least, a watch with capabilities to leave us dazzled as to how it is possible (as if anything else in the movie was). Not all of Connery's movies covered all aspects in each movie, but they established these criteria. All of Brosnan's movies covered it too I think except Goldeneye (the car was worthless but at least the old Aston Martin made an appearance). The only reason why Casino Royale can be given some slack for only wrecking cars and not even being a movie that ends with the end - and at that it's the first of the Bond movies to have a continuation, giving true meaning to the end credits phrase "Bond will be back" or something like that - is that it's supposed to portray James Bond as a newbie. But James Bond must be the british gentleman macho with babes, watches and automobiles who will beat unlikely odds and destroy great villains, saving the world from peril. Anything else just isn't James Bond.
  2. Where is a SU-25 available for SF?? WANTZ!!! 1. SU-27 Flanker 2. F-14A, D 3. JA-37 Viggen 4. Julhelm's Kestrel 5. OV-10 Bronco 6. F-19 Stealth Fighter 7. MIG-31 FIREFOX Currently waiting on SU-24, SU-25, SU-34, SU-47 and YF-19 to enter that list!
  3. False, though I wouldn't mind having the ability to turn myself into an Ass Blaster (<- see link) sometimes... J/K!!! The person below me has his computer greet him with "Good Morning, Dave"-fashion at boot-up like Jeff Goldblum's computer aboart the space fighter in "Independence Day"...
  4. I can safely say that of all the things being done this is the one I anticipate most eagerly... How's it coming along?
  5. Oh the memories of the Photo op (recon ) missions in F-19... Dodging Flankers, SAMs and Krivaks in the North Sea... With a constant eye on the detect'o'meter to see if a radar return had me or not... always threading the needle until the last moment... those were the days...
  6. W00t! :D Indeed the only thing missing are more russian birds (Su-24, Su-25, Su-34) and nothing would be missing to make WoE the new FA!!! Come think of it, WoE is FA, F-19 Stealth Fighter, F-15E Strike Eagle and A-10 Tank Killer all wrapped up in one... and much, much more!!! Damn that F-29 rocks!
  7. No, the only thing I imagine having come close to my colon was Red Bull. The person below me has shot his human wingman down in WoE multiplayer... on purpouse!
  8. Beleza, Piloto! Tava aqui a pensar, a FAP realmente parece ter 1 fetiche por aviões que têm as entradas de ar dos motores por baixo do nariz... (A-7, F-16, EF-2000)
  9. The F-4 Phantom? A multi-service international aircraft whose perhaps best accomplishment was to show that all the hopes of turning the pilot into a simple button-pusher that was just there to get a lock-on and press fire to let rip a missile is pure nonsense... After the F-4 all airforces worldwide recognized that pilots needed mastery of ACM - and that A2A planes needed a cannon as standard, built-in armament!
  10. False! Spent a whole week there once in a microscopic room of a friend of mine, me sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag - wasn't too comfy. Been there, done that, curiously didn't get the T-shirt since I went to HRC Paris (it just dawned on me that I forgot to get one lol- DAMN! ). The Person below me wrecked his/her airbase in WoE by just rolling around through objects with total impunity...
  11. False. I never quite managed to get one ingame, be it in WoE or Operation Flashpoint The person below me was shot down by the last Primary Target Shilka in a Wild Weasel (SEAD) mission...
  12. False - I've never made milk bubbles, chewing on Mentos whilst drinking Coke Light is more like it! The person below me is a very dangerous driver at Friday late afternoon rush-hours.
  13. LOL how r they supposed to handle damage on the real planes in Virtual vs Real combat? Don't tell me the real ones will have God mode: ON... I think I'd prefer virtual vs virtual, at least that way no one gets hurt for real...
  14. "Hey Ed, I felt a bump on the way, what was that?" "It was nothing, Bill, don't worry about it..." Sorry I didn't keep up with the theme, I did select "Dusk" for the mission but I guess the Broncos don't like to go out much at night...

    Achmed.......

Achmed FTW!!! Renaming him "Bill" would be endlessly lame IMO - hope that Jeff Dunham isn't driven away by people who only understand their own kind of humour... Edit: Someone do an "Achmed-Weaponspack" featuring the "Achmed Air-to-air missile" (with an RWR-mod to feature repeated warnings of "I Kill You!" when it's inbound) and the "Walter Fart-bomb" (cluster munition, 1 fart per bomblet plz)...
  16. When questioned by reporters on what had gone wrong with navigation, Captain Eel of the USS Bancroft had no comments to offer...
  17. Such a nice Spad and no comments from NFG?
  18. Did you ever try out "The Specialists Mod" for Half-Life (1)? There you could not only kit out your weapons, but you had bullet-time and everything... IMHO the best mod ever for Half-Life... I forgot CS after trying out TS, it rocked!!! Still is a hit at the LANs I play @ home. Check out http://www.specialistsmod.net/
  19. Eh? What in the world? That doesn't make any sense!!! Why would they limit it to those countries only? Sure hope a patch comes out to enable global worming... errr I mean roadkilling carmageddon... *cough* argh! Y'all know I mean CS-like Bunny-jumping!!! Seriously though, this game looks like it could be the coolest thing in terms of CS-like gameplay since The Specialists Mod came out for HL1...
  20. It's not the creation of a black hole that scares me, it's mankind having to come up with Gordon Freeman, Morgan Freeman, and whichever other Freemans there are to deal with the opening of an inter-dimensional port, and whatever comes out of it at us!

  22. Heheh, I remember having seen that vid before... Mr T's van has nothing on it...
  23. Seems Bohemia Interactive (of Operation Flashpoint fame) will be doing a remake of the old classic "Carrier Command" together with Black Element Software. For more info, check out: the article at worthplaying.com For those more nostalgic wanting to revisit the original, you can find it HERE! Also, check out: http://www.carriercommand.com/ Looking good!
  24. Agreed! Though I wonder, aren't there strict speed limits that should be held for those kinds of transports? It ain't a friggin monster truck race...
  25. "We confiscated the cleaner for 24 hours" - WTF does that mean? Was he abducted? Kidnapped? I mean, wtf?! Serves the chinese right though considering all the gagging they do in terms of communication and information. Really must say I'm on the media side when it comes to their fight vs the communist government...
