Seems there also is a DDS plugin for GIMP - I only have a limited Photoshop 5 so I think I'm better off with the GIMP for editing, although nothing beats Photoshop, it's just that I don't have the latest version - maybe I should get it from somewhere...

I'll have to do a review of an FSX addon for a TV program the company I work for is doing so I was wondering, since I'm a total n00b in terms of MS FS, is it possible to reskin planes as easily as for Thirdwire sims? Wanted to make a custom skin for one of the stock planes...

Hmmm... would it be possible to add a nation to another terrain without having to extract and recompile the main terrain file? Like, I mostly fly in the Bering Straits terrain in WoE, it is mainly based on the GermanyCE terrain, but seems to have its own nations.ini file... would it be enough to create a new nation there? If yes, just what do I have to do? Don't I have to create also a set of national insignia to be shown on planes which fly that nation?

Just a short question - I was wondering if it was possible to add a new airforce to fly for - you know, the kind you select (or not, if you just take the default) in the loadout screen, and which is also referenced in the medal screen of WoE and in the rank of the pilot... I've tried searching around but haven't come across anybody that had asked this question before... Maybe I should have asked this in the "Fictional/Whatif" forum section but I thought that, since it would get a general answer that could serve as base for any future AF that would come into existance that wouldn't be fictional, might as well post it here...

Indeed. I wonder why it was never turned into a normal fighter - since its VTOL capability was unsuccessful but it's normal flight behaviour was rather good - I bet it could have made a beautiful A-4 replacement!

Well, I think I shouldn't include any WIPs because (hopefully) they are planned to be ingame - So I'll just stick to the one plane I'd always loved to have and has never been made for any sim that I know of so far (probably because it always just was a prototype) - The XFV-12!

Taking a look at either videos (Marcfighter's Su-33 and Russo UK's fighter), I must say I always wonder what's missing - they seem to be good to go...

Getting back on topic, would it even be possible to have something like the Banshee? I guess only as target, since in WoE at least one can fly through anything but the ground... Trees, ships, buildings... guess one couldn't land on a plane...

I agree, just that I don't know exactly how to put it to use... Well, maybe in RTSs, RPGs and FPSs, but for flight sims I don't think one would have the correct "feeling" for the limitations of movement...
