  1. Onboard sound, right? I've always used an addon sound cards with built-in signel processors (Turtlebeach or Creative). That might help explain it.
  2. I use PDN myself, and I highly recommend it.
  3. I had no trouble with SAMS in WoV, even on my old Athlon system. Admittedly, I wasn't running GH2 back then... Post your system specs, and we'll see what we can do for you.

  6. Well, in RL the most common implementation of the SA-3 launcher is a quad. As to your issues: Try setting up the availability of the launcher you want as Very_Common, and make sure it's service years, export availability, and export years, match your mission dates. The missile bitmap needs to be copied over, as well. For the SA-3, it's "SAMS.BMP". Alternatively, the simplest solution would be to use the MF's weapon pack, which will solve your bitmap issue, and install better models, in the bargain.

  9. Both remind me of the old traffic safety films that we were forced to watch as High School students during the mid 1970s. The films produced by the Ohio state DOT were especially lurid. In light of some of the idiocy I see on the roads today, they should start forcing students to watch them again.
  10. Max operational speed is 2.35, though one Tomcat (in clean configuration) is reported to have hit Mach 2.485 at 43,000 feet.

  13. There's nothing wrong with the graphics. It's an effect that not rendering against solids, only against bitmaps and alpha-objects.

  17. AFAIK, The latest patch resolved that issue (at least with WoI).

  19. Apply the latest patch. You may just find that you no longer need to perform the "Vista" edits as per the knowledge base.
  20. BTW, for those with Windows Vista, you can go ahead and activate shaders in WoI, after you apply the latest patch
