@daddyairplanes, Yep, did Frequent Wind too, even before i got the Tomcat Skinpack for VF-1 and the F-4N DLCs. Was cool to have an evacuation convoy with LPDs and DEGs under attack from MiGs and Beagles. You didn´t miss too much, as i put up an small thread about making a Lebanon 83 campaign but didn´t go forward with it. @dtmdragon Aussie A-4Gs end up being, as you said, a bit of SAM-fodder as their RAAF mates were when up north, and not so much different from USN variants, and the same can be said about Kiwi Skyhawks. Hunters can make a great Fresco hunter, but they face the same issue. While not being so much with US fighters, you really notice when you don´t have all the electronic kit. Regarding Europe 79, i did some with unmarked Kfirs, just to try its possibilities as a low cost alternative, and without a doubt it was great Also, i forgot to tell about Lightnings. I liked them as RSAF against Israel or a RAF What If for Nam, but i prefer the Mirage3O for the later. Not as much performance and the early Sidewinders are way worse than Red Tops, but i prefer the Deltas as a more stable platorm, along with the HUD

As my PC doesn´t work good with mods, i`ve got to make do with TW made stock, wich is cool if you have a fair amount of DLCs and stuff to go with. In fact, even with stock resources only i´ve learnt you can spice up the game quite a bit. The best example i could set up was an expanded Iceland campaign, available in the downloads section, gotta love flying the "underdog" Phantom in missions intended for a Tomcat. But there are also quite a few alternate scenarios i could probably mention: ISRAEL First of all, i love fighting against the IDF. Not that i´m anti-Israel nor anything, but it is quite challenging to engage them. Specially, the IDFAF of 1982 is the meanest killing machine to face, and flying for the Syrian side is a rush, even if short...you don´t last too long. Omani Hunters and Iranian Tomcats, while requiring a severe suspension of disbelief, are great in that matter. Playing the USN or the French Navy over Lebanon is also something i was working on not too long ago. Some of those scenarios include an Alpha Strike in 1967 against Hatzor Air Base by the USN as a reprisal for the attack on USS Liberty. You have both of the arguably best nations engaged. Fighting Phantoms or intercepting Skyhawks and Skyraiders as an Israeli pilot or the opposite is quite fun. Another way to face the IDFAF in that era is to fly Jordanian F-104As. Historically speaking, they were withdrawn to Turkey to prevent their loss, but it is a great, not to far fetched what if. Campaign is hard, but still, the overmodded stock Starfighter is a Mirage killer. It turns epic any time i play it. VIETNAM Another Starfighter scenario often overlooked is their real life participation in Rolling Thunder. Historically, they weren´t credited with any kills, but they are considered to have been so much dreaded that VPAF didn´t want to risk aircraft and pilots engaging them. It is the USAF Crusader equivalent, again the 3W FM being too good compared to real-life as far as i know. Being a Mirage lover, i couldn´t help but try the same with Aussie Mirages in the same role. They had RAAF Canberras there already, didn´t they?. Much more challlenging than zippers, given their energy-bleeding wing, but i love the gun system, along with the possibility of dealing a Matra R.530 faceshot when flying escort missions, as they keep flying straight at you. However, it is kind of SAM-fodder up North, so handle with care. What about your experiences?

If Iceland had normal names, there was an airstrip in SF2NA whose real life landing videos are beyond awesome Edit: like this

Malaysia Airlines Loses Contact With Flight Carrying 239

While it is early for condolences, I wouldn´t have any hope of them being OK. So saddening for every single life every single time something like this happens... -
As long as Central Europe, specially Germany wich has so much weight on the Union, is so dependent on Gazprom, i don´t think Europe is going to do anything against the Russians.

If North Korea is worth Raptors, Russia deserves more than Eagles, but maybe they don´t want to stir things up more. With Eagles, it is a reinforcement of the current mission, Raptors are a different thing. Either way, i don´t know how would they fare against S-400s in any kind of incident

Early Atolls being as bad as AIM-9Bs is right, but the main issue would be that every fighter gets to know about them, specially in Vietnam with the MiG-21 slash attacks. It is more of an AI flaw wich i doubt even TK could fix. Aircraft that get to know you shot a AAM when they shouldn´t, or be oblivious to you when you zero them with a new gun as bullets fly past them. I prefer to avoid this kind of situation by selecting different kind of missions

There was an F-18 Korea, but i don´t know if it was a variant of any other game or what. I googled it for nothing really interesting

you know, everytime i see the old towers in an old photo i get kind of mad. when i see the new one, it is just the opposite. way to go yanks

I didn´t know about the year, it just said it was an N model. On the other hand, there was a pic around with Ks in along with a J with DECMs, however, this had to be in a US carrier, as they were side by side in their respective catapults and i doubt a J would have been fine to operate from one of the smaller carriers -

It would be cool to have Kong, i mean Major Kong, to do a "frying chicken in a barnyard" nuke run at him, just to be sure

I only wish this was Jug

Yep, he accelerated when the cam guy was changing lane. Got from one video to another, man, russians are batshit crazy

That halo jump with the 2001 Space Oddisey creepy tune was awesome, but being the only thing prominently displayed...i hope that´s not the only thing. Btw, that´s why you in the USAF should not dispose of Warthogs yet

Good luck man, with mofos like those you need to be completely untrusty. Keep as much ammo to sue the living crap out of them if you have to, probably that´s what would keep them from taking their shit too far. Hope it gets better eventually
