I have always been under the assumption it is a time thing. If you look at the brief, it shows a speed at each leg, extrapolating a time on target. At a certain time, you hear a moving out warning, and they still don't appear, at least the enemy. The friendlies are on the map. Once they call contact, and shortly afterward, assistance, then the enemy armor appears, and becomes selectable. Now that the campaign missions are save-able, I may have to check one out and see if I can find the trigger...

Well, I blew it. Merged my carefully tweaked range with this one, and get app hangs on the aforementioned items, along with strike and SEAD. Renamed my "old" folder Bad-Mix_Range and ran with just this one. No joy...

Correct. It should NOT be under objects, right off the root...

Going further back in time? Oh, bummer. I had hoped for something a bit more modern, as I've been flying a lot of Operation Bear Hunt with the cool stuff modders have put out. I am 2 missions into an SR-71, recce only campaign, which is a hoot. A Tomcat over Europe would be very cool...

If you order them to go air-to-air, there goes the mud-moving munitions. Same as when they get locked up by an air radar. This behavior has been going on since I can remember. When it comes to "cannot comply" when asked to peel a bandit off your 6, it seems that happens when they've been asked to hit a ground target. But the number one most irritating thing the AI does is run out of stand off weapons, and takes a guns run on a Zeus quad. If they are good, they'll actually take it out as the stream of 23mm turns them into a mulchy paste-like substance...

In a nutshell, you get an extra engine with no thrust. When enabling that engine, it does not use fuel, but ADDS it in a rapid rate, (negative fuel use) and kindly deposits it's gathered fuel into you tanks. Total hack? You bet. Useful as a workaround for the inability to do so any other way? You betcha!

A mighty big plus 1! I laughed, I cried, I hurled...

If you make any changes to the controls in game after adding that line, it will go away and need to be re-added...

Saw a very similar site IRL some 30 years ago, in the rain at RAF Bentwaters, UK, circa 1980. Was the divert base for good ol' "Moldy Hole" back in the day, and had the distinct pleasure of watching these fearsome beasts light up the grey a few times with no-touch touch and goes. I'd like to re-enact the events, soonish, if possible...

Is that from one of those old `60's shows with the marionettes? I can see the skinny black wire they used to hold up props before CGI became popular. OK, kidding, and I can see why, because. Cool shot of a really cool classic...

A tribute to Spinner's new found "What-if's" in USAF colors. A pair of Florida Air National Guard (FANG) jets patrolling Northern Israel. Two great ships that go great together!

Even on Limas I give a 5 second count, or better, before loosing it. Improves hit rates dramatically... -
Adding a 'back seat' to the F-22

Now that is one coolio thread! I see where you get your not-so-warped ideas from. Some the oddities there? Truly warped, but the majority are very cool! -
Shoosh! I've been greatly enjoying his current USAF slant! Been some mighty fine stuff from my favorite `what-if' guy as of late, and I don't want him to stop, for purely selfish reasons...

[Fictional] Saab-Fairchild F-13A Draken USAF
Spectre_USA replied to Spinners's topic in File Announcements
Been doing that with the Lavi, which was a converted J-10, from SF-1. I cannot get the things to show, even while playing with the decal.ini. I must be messing up something fierce, but it looks just like your Win7 directory. Decals have been kicking my tailfeathers for a lot of years now...
