  1. "Do the deed..let the deed speak for its self" Honor is earned and not implied...the bank just foreclosed on your honor...you have nothing left. Beer
  2. I had to replace the Abit NF-7S with an Asus...the Abit kept locking up, it is in my garage and the room temp is 80-90 F during the summer... I got tired of it locking up, and since I replaced it with the ASUS A7N8X- Deluxe with no troubles... Cheers Beer
  3. :D Cheers Beer
  4. TG how bout a link to that file? Interested in Golfing NAS Brunswick? :D Cheers Beer

  6. Very Nice! Cheers Beer
  7. Did ya shoot an IFR approach at Minimums? Nothing like breaking out at DH and being lined up for a flawless landing 8) Cheers Beer
  8. I will grab it when I get home (next week), I would love to get a screenshot (pehaps in game video) of the A-7 and the EA-6 making a low pass on the CV-59... :D Now if I could only git a beta of the A-7... :? Cheers Beer
  9. Aquire the ground radar visually, fly say between 8-12 miles from the radar, point the nose at the radar a pickle the antiradiation missile. Despite the RWR issue with Radeon cards (the RWR being primarily a locationing device, i.e. threat indicator) the missile will work (bar a random miss based on TK's research and statics of actual missile performace). 10. Chaff and flares do not work yet (likely on purpose). According to pilots of the era, chaff and flare systems as we know them today were not available in the time frames modeled (up to 1975). Do a search at SimHq SFP-1 board ( www.simhq.com then look for the SFP-1 board) and possibly this board to see what the pilots did for chaff 8) . Ground targets you lock onto visually (the target box, and your ability to "see" is a function of your game settings, hard you do not get a target box, medium represents a reasonable visual horizon, and easy will let you cycle through all the ground targets in that mission). Use the RWR to locate a radiation source fly towards it and pickle off the weapon. The RWR is available in the F-4E. If you have a ATI card the RWR likely does not work (even with the first patch). Good news is it seems to have been fixed (source Major Lee) with the upcoming second patch. Hope this helps. Cheers Beer
  11. If it works well I might...(only interested in the multiplayer side of it). I have in work a tutorial/review on configuring CH Pro USB controllers (Pro Throttle, Combat Stick and Rudder Pedals). I also have to wrap up my Kid Rock Video "Cowboy". 8) O and not to mention the virtual Oil Field I am trying to model SFP-1 is kinda slow these days, so maybe the controller tutorial can be based on MSFS 2004 (was slanted for SFP-1) and that can roll into a FS 2004 multiplayer/LAN/Internet review. I get home 15 August, will see what I can do. Cheers Beer
  12. I will be picking this one up when I get home... Appearently it is set up for internet play where I can be an instructor and set/change the weather as a student shoots instrument approaches. This sounds like great fun; in addition the instructor mode allows simulating failures on your buddies plane during a instrument approach... If anyone is interested in hooking up for some instrument landing stuff at or near miniums P/M me, we can do Roger Wilco and the trainer mode and just some fun fly activity vice air combat. Cheers Beer
  13. I just don't think Gary can measure up to the other candidates Cheers Beer
  14. I think he is going to fall a lil short on the vote.. Cheers Beer
  15. We first need a landable carrier, I dont think (but I have been wrong before :D ) that that will happen with SFP-1, perhaps if TK gets a carrier based P-2 going I think that would be viable, also with LOMAC round the corner, even if its Soviet Based I would fly and trap that if it worked... Either way when a working carrier comes out in any sim, ODB's will likely have a "Wing" in action. Cheers Beer
  16. :D You drink for free when I am on the Ship! Ladies and gentlemen don't drink and overclock....I have learned my lesson... CHeers Beer
  17. OK Preventer is getting my machine today... I hope the 9800 Pro and RAM is Not Toast... Brand New 2700 AMD arriving there too... I hope the CPU was the only issue... Post them marks if ya getting running... Soda's on the ship til Xmas on Beer if ya do! CHeers Beer
  18. My machine is on the way to Mississippi for Preventer to curse at... I am sure he will post the marks if he gets it running (I am sure he will), 2.7 AMD, Radeon 9800 Pro and OCZ Matched 3500 DDR Ram. likely be beginning next week til he gets to it :D. Got your email Buff, will reply tonite hopefully. Cheers Beer
  19. LOL Damn ya... We will see what you can do with mine...should be in the mail Monday... Cheers Beer
  20. Good deal, glad to hear you are up and running, I ran outta time and was not able to get mine going before I joined the ship for three weeks, I am going to try to RMA the 2700 AMD, and hopefully will have the system going the first week I return mid August. Wife made out this time whome My plan now is to RMA the 2.7 and put that in the ASUS, and pending your 3.2 scores, I may go with a 3.2 or a 3.0 in the ABIT :D Cheers Beer
  21. Sounds easy and like a sure thing...especially after reading the boards at Abit and the disk flashing horror stories. Cheers Beer
  22. I'll let ya know if my last remaining CPU a 2.1 gets fried when I try putting that in the 1.2 rev board... Again, sorry to have pointed out the windows flash utility to you... Spent the day setting up my wifes new HP 2.8 AMD ($800 @ Circuit City)...it worked outta the box. Just had to delete the crap they put on it for software. Cheers Beer
  23. Sorry to have pointed you in that direction MrMudd...(I had no trouble at all using the ASUS Windows Bios flash software). You should be able to RMA the board to the vender you got it from? I still say "plug and play" is really "plug and curse like a sailor." Cheers Beer
  24. I dont know (actually we successfully disabled all four machines running in the garage, hence no gain on the Micky Folding, by swapping cpus trying to figure out WTF was going on)... Are you on the rig? Since I am leaving thursday, I will likley just send you the gamer, I have had just about enough, and if I continue to have trouble the parts are gonna be just that parts and I will buy a running alienware, email me with your address, likely if I send it out Wednesday you will get it next mid week. Cheers Beer
  25. Ya did good in getting the rev 2.0 (hehe with your luck you buy some lotto tickets!!!) I got an email from ABIT about a Windows Based Bios Flash they are releasing last week called "Flash Menu" I got the impression it has been released, if it is anything like the ASUS bios update in windows, it may be worth the wait. Don't forget to reset the bios using the jumper after you flash it if you do the disk way. From the email I picked up my two machines from the shop (spent two weeks in the shop and they did not even look at them), I got the one machine going using a spare 2.1 AMD (I guess I fried two CPUS when I did the swap ) so the wifes machine is now up and running (my old ASUS A7V8X). I am betting all I need is a CPU for the NF-7S, I hope to RMA the 2.7 AMD I bought for it. Not sure what I am gonna do, I do not have quick access to buying AMD CPU's and I head to my ship for three weeks this Thursday...when I get it running I will post both 2001 3D mark and 2003 3D marks. Since I fried two CPUs while working with that board the shop says (there guess as to my trouble without looking) to ensure the power supply is unplugged (I just switched the machine to off) and has had time to bleed off any stray voltages before you remove it (light on motherboard should go out), also be careful to only get the thermal paste on the silver rectangle heat sink in the center, and to use it sparingly (not to insult your ability, these are just the most common mistakes). Cheers Beer
