  1. If that's a statement, I agree.
  2. Great news!
  3. Panavia Tornado F.3 - No.602 squadron, Royal Auxilliary Air Force
  4. Totally agree. F-15A to F-15E Tornado IDS to Tornado ADV
  5. I think it was to give TAC a slice of the nuclear action (funding).
  6. I don't even remember that term being used until the F-15 era so I think not. I suppose it might have have made a respectable missile-armed interceptor in the late 1950's early 1960's in which case I'd rate it higher than the 'Deuce' but below the 'Six'. And in case anyone thinks I'm knocking the Thud, I love it! But, horses for courses. When I started out in Strikefighters I played around with the Thunderchief's thrust values to try get it to eclipse the Phantom for max. altitude (like the Project High Jump attempts) and ended up putting nearly 40,000lbs of thrust into it!
  7. Are you seriously suggesting that modders make two versions of everything? With the 'first generation' version just for those with old PC's? It's time to move on and, besides, you can use the Knowledge Base to convert SF2 stuff back into SF1.
  8. I have no idea about your first question but I think your SF1 skin will work on your SF2 F-35 but you can easily view the skin bitmaps and eyeball any differences first. BTW your computer won't break if you simply try it!
  9. BAC Thunderstrikes of No.6 squadron, Royal Australian Air Force on an anti-ship training mission
  10. To clarify, are you getting stock clouds, flames and smoke? If not, I'd post this at the Third Wire site.
  11. A Panavia Tornado GR.5 of No.13 Squadron, RAF South East Asia Command gets airborne.
  12. I've formally asked the creator for permission to release a 'what if' mod here. Stay tuned...
  13. BAC Thunderstrike GR.4 - "Jaguares" (Esquadra 301) Força Aérea Portuguesa In a long 'letterbox' slot at the back. Don't think circular... think F-117A.
  14. The 'fix' is to read the 'read me'. I can remember having the same problem but it was 'user error' on my part.
  15. BAC Thunderstrike - No.6 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force, 1971
  16. McDonnell Douglas/General Dynamics A-12A Avenger - No.6 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force
  17. Huge fun! Well done, it's always nice to have something different and this aircraft is just so elegant!
  18. It's available as a beta (at Check Six) and there's already a 'what if' PLAAF version here.
  19. BAe/McDonnell Douglas/General Dynamics Avenger GR.2 - No.617 Squadron, Royal Air Force
  20. Take me to your leader
  21. Great work btw!
  22. Well the Meteor was a jet fighter (allegedly) but a few M-262 and Arado Ar-234's were royally bounced by Mustangs in WW2.
  23. Version 2 - 07/04/10 (Adds 'patch' bitmaps to each skin folder, chaff and flares now working)
  24. View File [Fictional] BAC Thunderstrike S.2 (TSR.2) BAC Thunderstrike S.2 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of bongodriver's outstanding BAC TSR.2 to give a fictional Thunderstrike S.2 strike aircraft in service with No.213 Squadron of RAF Germany during the 1970 to 1991 timeline. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the ThunderstrikeS2 folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the ThunderstrikeS2 folder into your main Decals folder. 3. From the EFFECTS folder move the three 'Olympus' files into your Effects folder. 4. From the PILOTS folder move the TSRSeat folder into your Pilots folder. 5. From the SOUNDS folder move the two 'Oly' files into your Sounds folder. 6. From the WEAPONS folder move the two 'Martel' folders into your Weapons folder. COCKPIT Please note that this mod uses a slightly modified stock Phantom pit with the pilot position altered and the air-to-air modes disabled. Cockpits and Avionics are not my thing so I'm open minded to any suggestions for improvements but please note that I do like to make my mods as simple as possible so rivet counters need not apply. CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Massive thanks to bongodriver for bringing the TSR.2 to the Third Wire Community. Genius! It's impossible to improve on his outstanding TSR.2 add-on so this version is just a different flavour. Equally massive thanks to sundowner for the awesome skins on this version and, indeed, on all the TSR.2's plus his developed versions... check them out! And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 2 - February 6th, 2024. Submitter Spinners Submitted 04/07/2010 Category What If Hangar
