F-14A Files
ace888 replied to ace888's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
My bad... The files that I am refering... is "both" the Mirage file F-14A (original one) and the Mirage Iranian file F-14A. I have try to download other files just to see if it is my computer, but all other files that I have try has no problem of downloading. I just try to download the original Mirage F-14A file before writing on the forum and it is giving me the same problem. Thanks -
Hello All, I was trying to re-download the F-14A files, but my computer indicate that it is unreadable and the file has virus? Like to know if anyone else has the same problem. Thanks

Amokfloo, Any chance of adding the Taiwan Air Force scheme on your list? The ROCAF has the -5 verson but your mod will do nicely -

problems with download page
ace888 replied to KingAlbert's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I checked... YES, I have the same problem of trying to download (F-16, F/A-18, and F-14) not sure about the rest of the entire list? Anyone else having the same issues??? -
All the aircraft in the photo are "E" models. The three that had gray and green camo are "upgraded" F-5E to full F-5EM, with new radar, new EFIS avionics, full HUD and other structural upgrades. The tan and brown camo is the original FAB's ordered F-5E waiting to be upgraded. As for the vertical tail. The vertical tail with the extended spin, if you will... was one of the E models that FAB ordered. The one without the tail are all ex-USAF Aggressor aircrafts that FAB got from the USA in the late 80's to early 90's, not sure the exact time frame. The extended spin is an improve version of the E/F for stability and aerodynamic improvements.

Spectre_USA Hey, didn't mean to type your name wrong... First, my original problem was that I downloaded a weapon editor when in the WOI "object" folder there is already one installed. I click on it and change the properties so that it will work under Window98 as an option. Did all the things that you described and so far I have yet to see the new weapons on my loadouts. I just changed some of the new weapons start year and end year, as well as, the export and end export year.... Hoping that this will make the weapons available? Read your article, very nice... Cheers

Spectra, It is not working man.... I tested the weaponeditor by adding MICA and IRIS-T, I successfully added the weapons to the weaponeditor via import/merg function, then I use what USAFMTL describe by clicking on the new weapon and then click OK when the screen pop up. I just check the game, no MICA/ IRIS-T weapon on JAS-39C loadout... in addition, I have been trying to fix the weapon loadout on my F-4EJ "Kai" (which had zero weapons on the loadout, just the main center tank!?) Tell me... I right click the weaponeditor and went on the compatability section and add Window98 to make it compatable but what does that do? I do not think the weaponeditor is link to WOI weapondata.INI at all... I am missing something. I try to just copy weapondata from the specific weapons from the a/c's weapon folder and past it on the main WOI aircraft weapondata file. This method did not work either???
-
OK USAFMTL I follow your instructions under getting the weapon editor to work on Window and got it going. Now, more quetions? The editor right now is completely blank. Do I past all my weapons on the editor and make modifications on the editor? How do I transfer my weapon editor work back to the weapondata? Thanks
-
USAFMTL As always, you and many of the senior members, have been great in helping people. I download the weaponeditor, searching through the combatace thread as to how to use it, so far no luck... I do not know how to operate it. I unzip the file and click on the icon, nothing??? Where to I place the folder and open the files? Thanks

Most unfortunate that it is no longer on CombatAce. The site above require payment to get access to the download -

How do you get to "capun's" site? -
Gocad, Thanks for the information. Now more stupid question... I would have to download the "weaponeditor" and then modified the weapons that I want to add "via" the weaponeditor before sending them to the weapondata files? Is the weaponeditor user friendly or you have to be a rocket scientest to figure the process out? Is there a different weaponeditor for each of the Thirdwire products SF1/WOV/WOE/WOI? I am just learning the ropes here, I do appreciate the patients and time in aswering my questions. I know I will probably do better by just reading the whole knowledge base and mod section on this form... Again, thanks
-
Anyone, I downloaded the weapon_data from JAS-39C to the WOI weapon_data file using the next weapondataxxx (the next number down the long list). When I go to the loadout on the JAS-39C, I do not see any of the modern weapons, such as the Meator FAMRAAM missile? what could be the cause? As for the skin, same situation. I download the texturexxx (next number down the texture list) and I do not see the skin as an option on the aircraft that I have selected. Although, some of the sking that I added does show up, some do not... yet I use the same process? I read all the "readme" files and use the knowledge base process, but something is wrong? Thanks
-
My friends Call me stupid... I have try to add new skins to fighters on WOI, but it is not showing up? Anyone. Please describe the step by step procedure in adding a new skin? Ex: I try to add a ROC F-16 skin on the F-16A Block 15 OCU (BAF), no luck... does not show up? I appreciate any help. cheers

WOV Aircraft Carrier Operations
ace888 replied to ace888's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Thanks TurtleHawk, -
My fellow friends at this FORUM, Please bear with me as I ask this stupid question. I would like to know how to set my WOV so that I have an opportunity to fly my F-4 off an aircraft carrier and land on the aircraft carrier? Do I have to play the campaign to do it, or can I play a single mission and set it up? Your information will be greatly appreciated.

WOI would be perfect! I have only WOI and WOV... I was not sure of getting WOE when it came out. But of course whichever mod is made it will be great, cannot just think of myself only, right. After all, this is the community. Cheers -

Hey 76.IAP Blackbird Thanks for the info. I thought I miss an important key button or something. It would be nice to open your canopy after you land and finished with a mission
