  1. What if The Final Countdown had been a Japanese movie... (Hint: Checkout the name of the B-29 )
  2. When I saw the title of the thread I thought it was from TK about the Tomcat sim!
  3. There are some Desert Storm repaints here http://www.ukmil.org.uk/download.php?list.61 Including one of a reserve aircraft XX893 that looks to be an unmarked pink skin. You could also try contacting the modder who did them to see if he's got any templates?
  4. Looking forward to downloading them!

    More BIrthday's

    Many happy returns guys!
  6. Great series - Independence Day meets The Winds of War
  7. Something like this, though obviously the stripe on the Weasel needs to be fixed:
  8. OK, when the F-4G's arrive Bull Morgan says "C J is bringing in six G-models in for us from the States." So they would have the code from a CONUS based (TAC?) unit when they arrived. But later Waters says "I'm putting the Weasels under Steve Farrell in the 377th." My interpretation would be that the Weasel det was integrated into the squadron and took on the Stonewood tailcode. When the action starts they fly in mixed G & E hunter-killer flights. Didn't the Spang units operate similarly? So if you stuck with the ST code would it simply be a matter of renaming the F-4e bmps for the 377th skin to F-4G and editing the decals .ini and making a decals folder for the F-4G to get the tail codes & stripe to show?
  9. Kevin is there any chance of a skin for the F-4G_89 to represent C J Conlon's 6 plane detachment? They were assigned to the 377th according to The Book. If you're too busy I can have a stab at it.
  10. Going back to this thread http://combatace.com/topic/55294-somebody-asked-about-this/page__pid__414709#entry414709 The tailcode when the 45th was based in Egypt was AX and SW for Stonewood. If you want to code any specific aircraft, the 'hangar queen' bird is 80-744, with 'Muddy' Waters as pilot and Ambler Furry as WSO. Locke & Bryant's F-4 is number 512, figure it was an 80 bird too?
  11. Sorry Sony you can't have my copy! But there are some going cheap on ebay http://books.shop.ebay.co.uk/Fiction-/171228/i.html?_nkw=the+warbirds&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282 @Wrench: Kevin, I always imagined that the Phantoms wore the grey (Egypt 1, Hill grey?) skin like on the book cover. Would that be the right scheme for a late '80s setting?
  12. They have a forum at SimHQ http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forums/167/1/Yankee_Air_Pirate_2.html
  13. Maybe they shot down a Taiwanese 'F-28'
  14. This one? No, you meant this one didn't you?

  16. Are you doing the desert camo version too? http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww4/v/70/89/0/3
  17. Anyone remember hitting the sub pens in the North Cape with an FAE? You had to come in low over the water, toss the bomb through the open doors and then climb to avoid the cliffs, which put you on radar, and all hell broke loose!

  19. I've not been to London for a while, but Motor Books was pretty good for military & aviation stuff, and quite near Leicester Square. http://www.motorbooks.co.uk/locations.asp This games shop looks like it might have what you want too, and seems to be in the same area http://www.orcsnest.com/shop.htm http://www.orcsnest.com/sinresult.asp?entered=avalanche+press Have fun.
