  1. “No one would have believed in the first years of the twenty first century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man’s and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.” With apologies to H G Wells
  2. Can it be converted to an E model too?
  3. Congratulations Sid.
  4. Of course, you could have just downloaded Mike1's New Nations Pak, which includes Croatia http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=1630
  5. I'm loving the Bear (not in a literal sense, you understand) and looking forward to the MiG 21 Bis, and wanted some clarification on future plans if possible. Are you going to be selling through the website, and/or is it going to be updated as a lot of the links are down. Is the WIP list on the website still valid or do you have some changes that you can tell us about? Thanks for your work so far, and looking forward to your future output, be it freeware or payware.
  6. If it's not Thirdwire sims it's probably Ghost Recon, the original one. Everything else is for a casual blast or flight.
  7. Let's not forget that Iran was going to buy F-16s back in the '70s under the Shah, but the order was cancelled after the Revolution. Ironically, some of that order then went to Israel.
  8. Try adding some later model MiGs like the 29 or 31, or the Su-27. They should be more common in later years anyway.
  9. Typhoid, for WOV I like to stick to the period, although I might include some native Chinese birds as well as ones exported to Vientam - nothing like an international incident to get the blood pumping eh? Didn't the VPAF have some Su-7s stashed away too? Silver paintjob or camoflauged?
  10. Thanks guys. I was thinking about adding the Chinese MiG 17 & 19s, but didn't realise there was so much variety of other birds too.
  11. I'm getting a bored of running into the same stock MiGs in WOV, so what other aircraft did the VPAF use that I can include in my install? Thanks Allen
  12. That's because Mr Sulu's buggered off to play in the jungle for a couple of weeks! http://celebrity.itv.com/TheCelebrities/george-takei/ Blimey! Didn't realise he was 71!
  13. Er, that would be me , so True! The person below me is reading this on a computer at work.
  14. Just a thought, but are you including all of the WW2 weapons? It might be an idea to have a WW2\Korea pack and a post 1950s pack for Vietnam up to date. Sure, there will probably be some overlap, but it seems a waste to include a huge pack in a WW2 or Korea install when the vast majority of those weapons will be useless. I seem to remember that the Bunyap pack went down this route a few years ago with era-specific packs, and then went back to the big pack for the last version.
  15. Wrench is working on updating the Iran\iraq terrain, so it's probably a good idea to speak to him re. the campaign.

  24. This is getting ridiculous. They captured an oil tanker the size of a US aircraft carrier, loaded with a cargo of 2m barrels - a quarter of Saudi Arabia's daily output - worth more than $100m. And now they captured another two ships today (Tuesday 18 November). According to the BBC the industry that has sprung up around these pirates even includes restaurants for the hostage crews of various nationalities. To paraphrase Obi Wan Kenobi: The port city of Eyl: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/7735507.stm
  25. Great stuff Lloyd. Looking forward to it. BTW, DAT have posted WIP shots of a Cessna T-41 Mescalero, aka Cessna 172. The IAF operated 2 of them in the 1970s. I'll look up the dates, but IIRC they wore the standard IAF camo of the period.
