  1. The staged strafing runs were a bit much for me.
  2. Proving to be quite difficult
  3. No, unfortunately he had a prior engagement, he was getting knighted or being given some award for his efforts to fight hunger in Africa or something of the sort. I am stumped on that MiG, I should know it but nothing is coming to me.
  4. No, but I just took off in a Gina from Thornhill, flew up to the Zambezi and back..
  5. Need Zambian MiGs to kill now! Looks good guys, great team effort...
  6. Oh come on man, you know how it is, nobody is serious, it is all in good fun, and certainly no one really takes offense to any inter-service or inter-career field ribbing. At the end of the day everyone, for the most part, respects each other and understands it is just part of being in the military, it is the 2nd thing you learn: "talking smack." It only becomes a real problem when someone who has never worn a uniform gets involved.
  7. As long as peeps are not included....
  8. I wanna take off from a carrier some day before I die Strap that Viper to a catapult and watch that sucker fly 200 knots in under 2 seconds That's my kinda fun Do a barrel roll just after takeoff Just like in Top Gun But I don't wanna land Allow me to explain and you'll understand 'Cause it ain't about the landing Why would I care? You never have a crosswind and you never have to flare You got 4 #$%^&*@ wires, how could you miss? I can't think of anything that's easier than this But once you're on the deck my friend you'll never be the same 'Cause you're stuck on a boat in the middle of nowhere with five thousand other men Join the navy? I don't think so Living on a boat? I don't think so Hot bunking? I don't think so Doing night traps?@#$! that! I don't think so Sure I thought about the Navy but decided to pass I love my five star hotels and per diem out the ass I do all of my fighting well within the shore Cable TV and cappuccinos - that's the way that you fight a war This spoiled life - it can grow old When the coffee ain't fresh, the sheets ain't soft and the beer is only somewhat cold
  9. This guy showed up right after I left the unit, but hats off to him: http://www.military.com/NewsContent/0,13319,185866,00.html
  10. Sweet, thanks a lot!
  11. I have a question regarding the pit, I'm sure someone can answer, not a critique. In the pit what does the light on the right side lit up saying "explosion" mean? What is exploding? Or am I losing something in translation?
  12. First Mission in TMF MiG-29 (Syria) An IDF/AF F-16I and I killed each other over the Dead Sea
  13. Wow, that rail is coming a long quite nicely
  14. I have the entire John Edmond and Clem Tholet Discography, I got us covered. I wish I was a Blue Job up in the sky, I wouldn't have to walk if I could fly, but I'll be a Brown Job until I die, with ten years to go in the RLI
  15. Is the "mistake" the SAAF markings?
  16. More than likely... but it takes more than dog fighting to win a war.... I'm not trying to turn this into some lame "this airframe is better than this airframe" debate, but if you look at what became of the F-4 program, and the possible capabilities of this airframe, going with the F-4 was no doubt the better choice.
  17. Probably nowhere near what the F-4 did...
  18. That looks like a lot of hard work that will be rewarded greatly! I was looking at the games on the shelf, the Victory Games Central America game was one of my favorites, I think I played every scenario at least 3 times. I never looked into Dawn Patrol though...
  19. You are probably flying an aircraft in a year past the service date of the opposing force aircraft. IE: If you are trying to fly an F-16 in WOV with only stock MiGs, none of them have a service date past 1975 (or 73?) in their inis.
  20. How did you get past that whole Montreux Convention thing? Just kidding, looks cool
  21. IE : The special credentials for certain jobs I was talking about when I gave the HAZMAT example, not just "a permit to work" as he never mentioned a specific job.
  22. Maybe I'm stupid, but there are states where an American citizen needs a special permit to get a job? Unless you are talking about special credentials like a HAZMAT certification...
  23. First There > That Others May Live
