it hard to believe no one tried to make an Enhanced Electronic Location System AI for a more accurate, responsive gunner i mean you could even have multiple on something that acts more like an aircraft, like say a hovercraft. . . . . . . yup. thats where my mind went with this.... -
my question which i dont see stated post re install (my apologies if i missed this) are the weapons firing with the traditional keyboard controls? also what aircraft have you been having this issue with? stock ones, modded ones, have you flown several types or only one or two (and whats the one or two if thats the case?)

i dont have the bit in messenger anymore, but the frontman for YAP-RW figured out a way to do decals on statics. i forget the specifics but the general idea was that he made them as ships rather than airfield objects last i saw he had different numbers on C-17s on the ramp but that was the extent. could be useful in the same fashion that my tga based airliner skins are (when they are whats parked on ramp) for airliners, tankers and cargo planes (the last two rarely deploying as a whole unit in theater) again thank you. wasnt trying to start nothin, but i did put some time in on that one there, working with Ed from the beginning on it. heworked me out on skin and tga placement, and i reciprocated with model fix requests!

input from the skinner side of house you will get better skins if you have several textures rather than all on one. it doesnt need to be a dozen or even TKs usual 5, but loading all on one means you are making everything smaller to fit on one space. yeah you could go big (2048 or 4096 px)but if you did that why not break things up (say a fuselage/tail grouping and a wings. engines/ various parts grouping) for more detail. sorry, i do not know how you would do that in blender (barely got the hang of it in Maya) but end user wise, all on one can be a pain for anything outside of a weapon or small ground vehicle
