from what i recall on past posts, ship will shoot at each other when they are in detection and weapons range. ive personally witness a running naval battle when the game spawned the red fleet right next to the CVBG and had a Harpoon launch over my Tomcat as i was trying to climb away! but it is not something that is player controllable. at best, you can use mission editor to put the pieces in place and watch to see if they slug it out. hmm, is there a LAst Stand of the Tin Cans mission floating around? be interesting to launch Wildcats with depth charges against the Yamamto ......

did we ever get a collection of max files from Coyote Aerospace? i know theres a bonch of lods waiting to be finished, but it would be nice if v2k had or would pass on the max files so some others can take a try at em

to be completely clear, after the update one has to go into settings and turn off the Windows Smart App? that very update is on hold on my system until Sunday morning......

one other big factor in the "Win10" version is that the game has done fairly well all the way back to the Insider preview at the end of '14. there's some hiccups here and there, and some people cant get it to run. but most can run the Win7 version perfectly fine on Win11, soi why do we want to buy the White album all over again?

what he said. since there is the two week wait as well, i'd look thru the downloads while youre waiting. make a list, be able to hit the ground running when the door does open up

do you mean FGA73? if so, it does come as a TW bird, although I dont recall if it is stock with SF2Israel or if you have to have Expansion Pack 1 or 2 to get it stock in house here, there is this skin pro tip: dig around the downloads for SF2 and SF1. theres over 10000 files for this game between the two of them, so a good likelihood of finding what you'd like. and if you dont find it, the beauty of this sim is you can alway make much of it yourself.

why not? with your campaign skills, Gepard's newer terrain, and the newer aircraft since the Gen1 days (ok, that might be the weak link as most are probably ports of the old birds) it could be quite awesome. get some support on the effects, sounds, and other background bits that make the game hum and it could be the next ODS30AE

to answer the threads question, ODS30AE for the historical as it happened. mix of terrains and aircraft for Cold War gone hot scenarios to answer what researchin, this summers projects are centered round FACs post Nam, and the usual continous low level work on Hogs, Vipers and Phantoms. and whatever other shiny thing catches my eye
