  1. What a cool dream, dogfightin in OFF I don't think it's insane either I should be so lucky
  2. Tawny Porto here! MvR you're aura's so great, we're still toasting you, nigh 92 years later ...and I'm sure they'll still be in another 92
  3. Cute story OvS I think you're just lucky that it was her kite that downed yours!
  4. Olham, I did a quick search in the Member List and found 2 New Zealanders who were active in OFF forums cazna and rhythalion Neither has been active recently Al, ring a bell?
  5. Thanks for all the replies Guys! I found it on Amazon for $33 but I think I'll hold off for now I wasn't sure on the video clip The Google Link said it was "Piece of Cake" but there was no mention on YouTube Thanks for clarifying
  6. I got my Historic Aviation catalog in the mail today It has a 5 hour Mini-series DVD "Piece of Cake" for $40 US Details the Hornet Squadron in the 1st year of WWII Phoney War, BoF, and BoB Saw some good reviews on the web I think this is a video from the series (Me 110's are actualy 109's) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hG8BoXXOp4 Has anyone seen it and is it worth the $$$?
  7. TrackIR will solve many of your wingman issues It's always best to scan all about Especially in a WWI crate with all the wings, struts, exhaust pipes to look around Olham posted this excellent vid a while back Shows off all TIR capabilities ...OFF/cfs3 does not have the Roll Function though
  8. Hi jsalbano, Welcome to OFF Sttandard Rule: New guy buys the beer! AI is a cfs3 thing But Rex Hannover cracked the cfs3 code for P3 and there are big improvements over P2 He's still at it, so P4 should be even better I occasionally see balloons get hit mysteriously by unknown means but not too common Keep at it, maybe a run of bad luck Yep, Wingies will shoot through you, crash into you to get the victory ...ravenous wolves! You must keep an eye ourt for them at all times Do you have TrackIR? Aileron Cable damage is coded into the DM Herr Prop Wasche has created an alternate DM where it takes more hits to damage your aileron cables Kill Poaching usually depends on the Squad you're in If you join an Elite Squad, they'll poach your victories left and right ...but they'll also save your butt alot too Join a Poor Squad and you won't have that problem ...they'll all get shot down, and you'll end up alone and surrounded I usually join either an Average or Good Squad, it's the best compromise But if you're surrounded by friendlies it's usually best to pull off and let them have him anyways ...your pilots will live longer and that's the goal Yep, you can knock out the pilot or tailgunner I think it usually takes more than 1 hit though HTH,
  9. Certainly looked like a grand building Sad to see the beautiful architecture destroyed But when compared to the poor souls who battled there 'Cest La Ve'
  10. Well I hope you've found it ...cuz it's all on your shoulders now M8!
  11. Yep, happened alot in P2 Should be fixed in P3 Here's the blurb from the OFF Site: 2) NEW For P3!: Resolution of the occasional CFS3 weird 'weightless flight dynamics' of player craft when it is disabled - fixed. If it persists you might try resetting OFF and/or cfs3 in Workshop ...but you'll lose all your Pilot Data Prop Washes Backup File may have come just at the right time for you appraiserfl!
  12. HPW, this sounds like a very useful tool I've been quietly following but a thought just popped up; Will this work if OFF is installed on a 2nd (D:\) HD?
  13. Tis a sad day to see a Stalwart of the Forum take his leave Your posts have touched many a heart more than you can know Lou Hope you find the peace that you're seeking We'll keep your Tankard at the Bar ready to go Cheers M8
  14. "Say it ain't so Joe!" Lou, you're one of the Forum Aces here Hate to see you go, but if it must be, all the best M8!
  15. The problem may be in everyone's hometown Just about every town has a Civil War Monument and stacked welded Cannonballs are common Problem is they weren't too careful back then and many were live instead of solid shot Remeber seeing this mentioned on a news show awhile back, but here's a similar link: http://news.google.c...AAAIBAJ&pg=6137,1265839
  16. They're taking about it on the news right now Saying "If you have a trip planned for Europe, it'll likely be cancelled"
  17. almccoyjr, that's an outstanding video! Thanks for posting I keep thinking "If he can afford that, I should be able to afford a Dreamflyer!"
  18. Here's a belated "Thank you" James I was onlyn a youngster during Vietnam but even I could tell it was the politicians, not the troops, screwing up The fact that you soldiered on despite the adversity only adds to the accolades due you and your brethren Hope our country never repeats this disrespect In your debt,
  19. Well it might be the only time I get to say that ...so I took my opportunity Vista is a drey horse of course ...on my laptop Gamer is still XP so I know where you're coming from
  20. I didn't have any problem, worked 1st time ...Vista Rocks Baby!!!
  21. The Ghosts of Boelke and Immelmann are stalking you
  22. Cool Beans CJ! Better get that knee tuned up & ready
  23. Cheers, No offense taken, I was only relaying to you what was told to me by the GM guys at the plant, I appreciate the history One thing I can add is, the problem had nothing to do with old technology or out of date assembly methods St Therese was one modern assembly plant The sheet metal body assembly was completely automated From the 1st few small components to the flinal body shell, hardly a human could be spotted It was a sea of robotics ...very impressive ...almost hypnotic to watch I came away with the feeling that the shell was more akin to an aircraft fusalage not a car Even the frame beneath the body is really only heavy gage sheet metal formed into a rectangular tube I had always had the feeling, there should be an I-Beam under there somewhere Now this may bring a tear to your eye We all love our new cars, pristine out of the factory, nary a blemish The 1st scratch brings an emotional response akin to a cancer notification Well, off to the side, at the end of the line, was an internal body shop With all that automation, a stray electron is bound to occur and minor crack-ups happen on line They simply finish building the car and do the body work in-house later There were just a few vehicles there, so I'm sure it's rare, but it might be good to bring a magnet next time you go to the dealership
  24. Ditto on that NS13 Those who have served should get special mention If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to get shot at in DC?
  25. Nice high quality video carrick I like the footage of the balloon slowly igniting then being totaly enveloped in flame Would be nice to have parachuting observers in P84
