Now THAT's interesting: I am getting all the correct loadouts when selecting an aircraft from the Main Screen - but as soon as I re-select another aircraft (say from A-1H to A-1J or F-4B) in the "loadout-window" all the weapons go away and have to be manually re-applied... Going back to Main Screen and into Single Mission brings everything back... I never noticed...

'Kay - thanks, FC. I checked and the cockpit folder is in there - but I will double-check that there's also an entry in the .ini pointing to it... Maybe/hopefully that will be it (for all the A-1 models) already... Thanks again! Just read your post, Wrench. Hm, to understand correctly: running the stock game creates the mod folder, including whatever data for A-1 - when I mod it then, those mods will be overwritten again? No... (Didn't happen in the past...) So I "just" need to make sure that my mod-folder has all it needs (like a cockpit and the .ini pointing to it)....... Right?

I know there's the knowledge-base, but maybe you can just give me a quick hint where to look for the glitch... It wasn't before yesterday that I realized that the Skyraiders coming with the Vietnam Gold are not available for selection in my SF2V - a comparison with back-ups of earlier (and working) installs don't show me differences in the mod/aircraft/a-1-folders - it appears it's all there: A-1.ini, A-1_Data.ini and all the rest... So what exactly makes ac appear in the list of selectable aircraft in the game? Thanks, mates. Oliver

I applied the July-patch over the weekend - no fps-rises on my rig, but at least it appears as if I could "reuse" my (heavily modded) mod-folders... I renamed them (June 2012), applied the July patch to the game, ran it once to create new default mod-folders (NA and V in my case), deleted those and renamed my old mod-folders back. Aside from my Campaign-progress being wiped again (no news), the rest of the mods appears to be showing up as they should... I may be stumbling over things over the time, though...

Patchstingray77 replied to Ice Man's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion That's very much recommended... Your alternative would be to rename your mod folder before patching, then running the patched game once (thus creating a new - empty - mod-folder), delete that newly created mod-folder and re-rename your old mod-folder. Then the game would look for and find your old mod-folder instead of the new one. But reinstalling all the mods to the newly created (patched) mod-folder avoids inconstencies between the older game's version and the patched one (it can happen that some of the mods won't get "recognized" by the patched game). So: you can try the "easy way", but the "safe bank" is reinstalling your mods!

Hum, right after updating to June Patch (via May Patch first), I too saw that stutter on my SF2V (and immediately added my post to the thread in TKs forum). When playing over the weekend, I have NOT BEEN ABLE to replicate that when flying F-4s or F-8s... Certainly a happy surprise. Don't know whether my machine has been busy with some other task the first time I tried - but (if it doesn't re-appear) I'm happy that it's gone... (Running on GeForce 8600M GS by the way...)
