Yeah I run it on WIn11 and the only issue I have is alt-Tabbing, it'll crash if you do, such as when I reset my Head Tracker, it goes to desktop, and can't alt+Tab to it again after it does it. Other than that, it works good.

I've got that blond hair, blue eye look, and one German lady mistook me for a local, and I had to tell her I was an American. But like it was never an issue for me since I didn't go out much anyway, and not for long either. But I never got bothered by anybody when I traveled on the train or anything.

Well, I couldn't wait until I got the F-4E, so down the road when I get more comfortable with it, I'll probably do some kind of document like the Hornet in the future, probably within a month or less once I get comfortable shooting stuff. Right now, there's just waiting on the next patch, and hopefully ED is figuring out the issue with the AIM-120s, so we can have better ranged AMRAAMs and such. I need to inform Nightstorm that I'll be using some of his work. I had an issue with another game over that, and don't want to start any drama or problems with him if he resurfaces or whatnot. Otherwise, no work on Ironhand manuals, but I am thinking of a more generic one, as I recall from my Flanker 2.51 days. Sure, it was a different game, but it's appealing to revisit some of the stuff with the new tech in DCS.

Was doing some testing, and realized I never made a laser-guided round for the Light Howitzer Container, so I made one real quick. I mean it's accurate, but don't knowiif it was my poor lasing, or just how the round acted, but it fell short of the target, just right near it, so that's something to worry about. Anyway I did some balancing with the amount of rounds for the container, reducing the amount of Guided rounds to 20 rounds, and 12 rounds for the Laser Guided rounds, both in the Helicopter Pack, and the Cherokee Containers. Okay, I realized that the ARD (Anti-Reflective Device) on the new CompM4 isn't ideal for shooting. I replaced it with one I made and reduced some polys with it, though the optic isn't doing much for framerates so far. So next Sunday, I'll upload it, and shooters can relax and kill their favorite unit with it, should they choose to. For the Weapons Pack, there will be a non-ARD version of the CompM4. I just really need to do the inventory image, and that's it on that. I'm looking to do other stuff with the mods, don't know what yet, but the non-ARD scope won't show up in the Helicopter Pack; it's not a weapons pack, and the Army issues out the ARDs (you can, however, screw it off based on preference), but I want to keep it free of a weapon pack influence. AH-1Z RC29 - Fixed a possible Effects error from RHS (Thanks Spartan 208 ALT) Flanker562 Taliban Fighters RC30 - Incorporated the M995 mod into the Taliban Fighters mod - SAD SPARs now have M995 ammunition instead of regular Ball ammo. Flanker562 Weapons Pack RC134 - Added a 6.5mm version of the LWRC SPR, giving it the new M1200 6.5mm Creedmoor round - Added a CompM4 optic, usable as a sight for your weapons. The model is bought from TurboSquid. It is zeroed for 300m - Removed the defunct "SMG" EOTechs, given that they were already zeroed for 300m - Added a "Khaki" (BIS definition) of the EOTech 553

Okay, managed to convert the desert EOTech 553 (Rifle) into a Khaki (BIS version) colored optic. I noticed that the "SMG" variants were actually zeroed for 300m, not 100m like i'm going to do (they were in the config, now they're not, but I'll put them back in) soon. Overall not much for the Weapons Pack or the Taliban Fighters. I'm debating uploading (again) the updates to the Helicopter Pack, but going to really hold off, let server maintainers get a break from me this week. Next week: - Flanker562 Helicopter Pack

Yeah as a two-time participant in mental health crises, I know what it's like, can't escape your mind and such, that just fucking sucks. I'm better like you too though Meusli, things have calmed down, and a calmer head always is great at times.

Okay some of my Pilot missions are missing the Single Player option to enlist replacements of dead crew and so on. I'm slowly rectifying that, I fixed a few missions already, and will look at more down the road. The priorities is adding more tasks, like a Insert Sniper Team for the MH-92 missions on Altis. I may do that for Clafghan, but I don't know, the map isn't that big, and fifteen points is a bit much even for that map, given that there are few areas to drop them off. Remember these missions are helicopter based, so I won't be doing anything extra than tasks to lift somebody somewhere. I have an idea for the CH-67 missions on Altis, but that's for you to find out as the amount of updates I make to missions is so numerous I don't bother with changelogs on the missions, so sorry about that I might fix something, and it not fixable or needs multiple fixes to get it right.

I wanted to give the US Army Helicopter pilots a better way of defending themselves on the Pilot missions, and this is what I came up with. It's an Aimpoint model I got from TurboSquid, so it actually looks good for once, compared to my other older models. It's not affecting framerates, so it's a pain in OB, but as far as using it in game I haven't so far noticed any difference in framerate hit:

I had a chance at my young age to see Metallica, and might put that on my Bucket List of things I gotta do before I die. I mean I'd just be another face in the equation, but it would be awesome to see them live. Glad you had a good time too man.

I'm getting this later on this month for my birthday. I could get it now, but I'll treat myself then and such. I've been on their Discord and looking at the online manual, so it so far weapon-wise doesn't look too terrible.

Okay, now that's out of the way, I decided to make the EOTechs that are used available to the TF160 pilots, so they'll be able to (and you) shoot up to 300 meters, which is what most zero it for, rather than the BIS 200 meters. Okay, the 17th is my birthday, and I'll be turning 50. I will be getting as a present to myself the Heatblur F-4E because I think it'll be a guilty pleasure. I'll be doing some kind of Ironhand manual eventually for it, so there's that, and work on other manuals as I see fit. I don't want to do too much of them, because I do have a life, and simming isn't everything, unless you fly a lot, or something. Please don't bring up the controversy about Heatblur and its products. Save that for the official forums and Discord (it's pretty brutal with the F-14B(U) update, and I'll leave it at that as of this post) and so on, not for this topic, which is concerned about my limited modding of DCS, and the document work that I do when I do it. Okay, I'm starting to get the hang of the coding that RobJ did, and slowly integrating new Tasks in the missions. I may look into another mission where I look at some more relevant tasks for the various helicopters, other than what RobJ started out with. The more I figure out what to do, the easier of course it will be. I am looking at some missions, and like "I can do more with that". Bear in mind that do to lack of scripting knowledge, I can't create mission types so much as define things in a script, which I've been figuring out slowly. I'm not sure about requests, I'll take them of course, but the only answer I can give is: "I'll see what I can do." Bear in mind that the Pilot missions are pilot-centric, and not the other missions I have done, like the Insurgency and Assassin, or Assassins, which was in itself a simple mission to see what I can do. Don't suggest "Go behind enemy lines and assassinate this general", when you're a helicopter pilot, regardless of type. So ask and I may be able to deliver, or not.

I do a lot of starts with the macros (Autostarts) with the DCS stuff though. I mean yeah I can learn to start it up (I learned the VRS Super Bug in FSX back in the day), but overall I just sit there and wait, and then fly. I guess that's about as immersive as I'll get with flight sims, so it is what it is right now.

If you're wondering why I uploaded the Flanker562 Helicopter Pack today, it's because I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing, and had to upload the mod to support the mission work that I've been doing, so it doesn't look weird while playing the missions. Mainly for the wrecks and stuff support, so enjoy it early. The Weapon Pack will be on Sunday, as per usual. Enjoy!

Flanker562 Helicopter Pack RC199 - Cleaned up the MH/UH-92s, removing old A2 geometries and named selections - Fixed the copilot sticks on the UH-92s, they are setup to look as intended when moving in the cockpit if there is no copilot. - EOTechs by default are "on", due to coding setup. They can still be turned off as needed for gunner preference - The aim point for the MH-92 (Insertion/Sniper) M134s are set for the EOTechs, and accurate when enabled. Otherwise the gunner will still have to adjust his/her fire as needed when using the miniguns without the EOTech sights enabled. - Added placeable wrecks for the major helicopters, allowing some varied gameplay for missions. - Revamped Wreck models, should now work as intended. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=667709746
