  2. i mean Threads does get toxic, but man okay... I don't like how my feed is filled with a lot of political stuff honestly as I go there for the authors and stuff. Anyway, a lot of scenarios and a lot of maps do exist, and I did try and do a campaign, but I never finished or figured it out, so there's that. But then again nothing is stopping you from learning, as for me I just don't play it enough to care about campaign stuff, I like free flying and the Single Missions and such.

  4. I mean it's a sim I never played (And Matt Wagner/Wags) was on the team for that game. I mean I may look into it, but there's a pretty decent mod for the Super anyway.
  5. Oh campaigns... Well you can check the Downloads and there might be something, but I don't remember a campaign being uploaded for that terrain.

I vaguely remember the dude's name, I can look in my DMs and see if I can't find his name, Peimaco or something, he should chime in if he sees this, I don't know if they actually peruse the forums, but I know one guy is on here, but @allenjb42 might know somebody here. I know he works with them, I think.

Flanker562 Weapons Pack RC123 - Fixed a couple paths for RVMAT for a couple of Surefire suppressors - Corrected TypicalSpeed for the M995 round. - Removed the old US Militia backpacks - Added a 3rd Infantry Division Insignia patch, both color and subdued. - Added a 101st Airborne Division Insignia patch, both color and subdued. - Added 2nd ID, 7th ID, and 4th ID Insignia patches. Flanke562 Helicopter Pack RC174 - BIS Suppressors were switched out for better-looking Surefire 762 Tan Mini suppressors on TF562 MX weapons. - Added a 3rd Infantry Division Insignia patch, both color and subdued. - Added a 101st Airborne Division Insignia patch, both color and subdued. - Added 2nd ID, 4th ID, and 7th ID patches for the Insignia, in both color and subdued (OCP). ADuke's UH-1Y Venom RC23 - Fixed the anemic collective, model was missing a box in the Geometry LOD. Now fixed and it performs better.
  11. Ahh yeah, I got you. Yeah it is one-sided though, and gets kinda boring too.
  12. Don't worry Wrench won't ding you for necrothreading. I would think going into the stock birds and maybe checking out the decals.ini, that might offer you clues as to how it's done. It could be in one of the CATs, but I would think the Decals.ini of a stock plane show you, or it "knows" to pull from that CAT and display it.
  13. During my 11 months they routinely (sometimes) hid during when fast air was on station, and attack helicopters. Don't mistake high technology being "one-sided" against a foe who earned a lot of respect, and frankly of course knew the country better than we did. So yeah you're right, but in the game the enemy infantry doesn't run away, so that's a major difference compared to what happened there. I don't know everybody who served in Afghanistan, but just because you got the latest tech doesn't mean you'll win, and we I saw that when simple terrain defeats modern targeting pods and the like.
  14. Even though Wrench will ding you for format, please keep it to the normal font and style. He gets annoyed by it quickly, and so on. I mean yeah it's an option, but normal text is preferred or he gets ornery. I mean he'll hit me with the wet noodle for approving it too, but keep that in mind next time you post.

  16. Okay, but you can also find decent models (and legit ones) online, like TurboSquid, etc. But if you get a source model, then the sky is the limit I guess. Anyway just learn how to code the stuff so a human player can't fly it and so on. As for the AI? I don't like it, I don't fly with it, and just avoid AI wingman, but that's just me.
  17. Yeah, and I believe there are Taliban units too. I mean as Wrench said an Afghanistan map has been out for years, done by Gepard.
  18. Yeah... Even after getting in I never reconsidered, too many horror stories. I mean it's cool and all, but it wasn't me.
  19. You need to be on July (or June) 2013 patch my friend. I don't know if it's on the Downloads section, but that's the last patch that was released, so you should opt (if you can afford it) the SF2 Complete, which has everything that you could need (except for mods and stuff of course). Well worth the investment
  20. No, my Dad before I joined used to parachute on his free time, and he came down hard and broke his right arm, and i swore on the spot to never jump out of a perfectly good airplane, so no thanks.
  21. I find it funny that I'm really into naval aviation, but it's the fear of heights that prevented me from reclassing though. But yeah pretty much lol
  22. Only Eagle114th knows the files better than most, so if he comes up with something then so be it, but as virgin there's no way you can do a SAR mission. I'm not against it, but you're fighting the game too.
