Mission: Maintenance/Reconnaissance Flight over Kharg Island Aircraft: NE101 NE101 departed Ali Al Salem, both to verify maintenance was complete and also to check on Iranian forces on Kharg Island. The aircraft returned safely but some adjustment to the reaction of the stabilizer is needed but aircraft is still fully mission capable. Nothing significant reported/observed at Kharg Island.

  4. In a sense true but on the other hand, it's going to be newer. I've always stuck with SF2:E in the plain fact that most of the goodies IMHO have been for that game. Of course I'll have to see when it does come out if all the expectations are there but even then I may just migrate to that anyways.

  6. Mission: Bridge Strike against Helah Aircraft: 2 x F/A-18E NE203 and NE207 left for Helah heading east. They encountered no enemy aircraft and the bridge was destroyed with one GBU-31. However when returning to Ali Al Salem NE207 was fired on by a HAWK Battery (Bushehr AD Battery 3) and was not damaged. NE203 did attack the site with it's remaining GBU-31, destroying a launcher. Both aircraft returned safely.

That's a good question, but since it's me and dtmdragon doing most of the bomb dropping (though Florian and CrazyhorseB34 did some parts too) it's pretty much open season, though more work needs to be done on the northern sector. And a tip for mission creation is to just start one in the Single mission screen and edit it if you have EXP2.

  11. -15Es personally, tactical aircraft is doing the majority of the work and we're kicking some butt too. Besides the map isn't to scale so if you want to fine, but no dodging aircraft in the numerous valleys and the like, a shame but it is what it is.
  12. The F-16 is a nice jet but I had to use my ride... I'd suggest (though STORM and Dave may give you a home for your jets) DWCAce that you find a good northern or central airfield as the southern ones are getting crowded...

  16. I'd suggest a template for the Navy skins since after looking at GBU-12s there was a variation in coloscheme for all the bombs that were in the picture. But nice... now to start removing the older ones
  17. Well KeyboardChap has Prowlers and Growlers so he's not the only one that has limited capabilities. It just turns out in my opinion I came out with a good weapons mix for my Bugs.

  19. And I think the issue is lack of coordination and reporting of where we're planning on hitting, which is why there isn't much participation. I'd recommend we start posting here where the various players want to hit. Since me and dtmdragon seem to be doing the most work I'd recommend strikes in the north to take off the pressure along that area since it seems me and dtmdragon have our "areas" set. My intent is to still work my killbox or "special" strikes in other areas. It seems dtmdragon is working Tehran so I think if we stay in those areas it'd give the other players opportunities to flex their units.

  21. Scud Battery I did recon on, though I'd backup your IR_Targets file and use this one that I'm using that would keep you somewhat updated as far as what's been hit and so forth: Be sure to backup the IR_Targets.ini and the IR_Types.ini IR2003.7z
  22. Mission: Bushehr AD Battery 3 SEAD Strike Aircraft: NE100 and NE104, NE103 and NE110 Original mission intent was to destroy the AD Battery at Bushehr. Mission was accomplished with NE103 firing one HARM, destroying the HIPAR radar and one ZSU-23-4 with his cannon. However after that shot the AD Battery around Kharg Island locked up the flight, forcing the four aircraft to prioritize their tasking. After that only two ZSU-23-4s remained on Kharg Island due to the commanders repeatedly saying they surrendered over the common radio frequencies and after ordered by the CAG all aircraft returned unharmed. NOTE: It should be noted after that things got a little out of control so Kharg Island SAM/AAA is gone whilst I think the remaining two AAA systems will be "destroyed" since they surrendered and they really have no hope of survival. Suffice to say Kharg Island is pacified of any direct threats to aircraft.
