I am writing this for two reasons: Firstly, to express my feeling of why some people say they "hate americans" or that they "hate the yankees". Secondly, I have written a similar topic a few days ago, but I cannot post it. I¡ll give it a try and post it again. I finnished school last yer, now I am in Medical School. I had a History Teacher that, according to her, she "hated te americans". When she said that, I said to myself "how funny!!! She's an idiot". THinking a bit more carefully about it, I understood that this dislike she has towards Americans is due to her ignorance, but not an ignorance of knowledge, but an ignorance that is the result of a horrible self-consuming feeling: Envy. This person is envious about the United States, for its development, beauty, possibilities, etc.. But I have met lots of people that "hate Americans", not only this teacher, and I would like to tell you the reasos why I think people think like this. And when I say lots of people, it's lots of people, not 100% of the population of a country. I live in Argentina, an underdeveloped country. As I sayed

Couldn't agree more. That mission, although disturbing, shows what terrorism is, and sweeps the "romantic" view some people has about it, and terrorists as "brave men who defend their land from th invaders". I did not like the mission because of the killing of innocent people, and it's OK that you can avoid it without affecting the record.

I don't have an opinion about it. I try to play games wich I agree as regards the situation. If I had to play as the insurgents, I would not enjoy it so much as I would playing on the american side. Besides that, we must be realistic, and, leaving aside wether you agree or no about the NATO presence in the Middle East, the insurgents are terrorists, who kill not only strangers, but there people too.

28 August 2010 Last updated at 12:14 GMT Taliban attack Nato bases in Afghanistan's Khost area Major Patrick Sheba said the Taliban insurgents were "dressed in US military uniforms" Taliban insurgents wearing US military uniforms have attacked two coalition bases in eastern Afghanistan, Nato forces say. Coalition forces repelled both attacks, killing 24 militants, the Nato-led International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) said. There were no coalition casualties in the fighting, in Khost province, south-east of Kabul, Isaf said. The Taliban said about 30 fighters were involved in the two separate assaults. Five attackers were captured, Isaf said. Fence breached The attacks on Forward Operating Base Salerno in Khost province and nearby Camp Chapman began at about 0400 (2330 GMT). Two of the insurgents managed to breach the fence at Forward Operating Base Salerno and enter the compound, but were killed, a statement from Isaf said. "Coalition forces had the two insurgents under surveillance and when they cut the fence a quick reaction force was dispatched to the location where they were killed immediately," the statement said. According to the statement, its troops called in helicopters to assist in repelling the attacks. Three people, said to be involved in the attack but fleeing in a vehicle, were killed by an airstrike, the statement added. The BBC's Quentin Sommerville, in Kabul, says that elaborate attacks on forward operating bases are not unusual and that Taliban insurgents are increasingly using this more sophisticated guerrilla-style attack. Camp Chapman was the scene of a major attack in December, when a suicide bomber entered the base and killed seven CIA employees. Earlier this week Isaf announced that its forces had captured a senior commander of the local Taliban network in Khost - though it is not clear whether the arrest is connected to the latest attacks.
