  3. Anyone know what kind of weapons the F-105D was using in the 1980's? ECM pod type, what model of AIM-9 etc
  4. Nice work mate but the decal folder is missing.
  5. Nice work! Been looking foward to these!
  6. The Israeli Elta EL/M-2032 Radar is suppose to be able to fit in a Skyhawk, in fact the old Kuwaiti A-4KU Skyhawks that are now used by the Brazilian Navy (and now renamed AF-1) are rumoured to be possibly receiving the EL/M-2032 in the upgrade they are currently undergoing. I quite often play around with real world and fictional Skyhawk upgrades so here is a few bits and pieces you might find useful. I use the Kestrel cockpit as an updated A-4 Cockpit by removing the side stick controller, changing some of the instruments to get rid of any thing to do with moving nozzles etc and changing the view angles/ position etc. I've uploaded my A-4K Kahu cockpit/ avionics, the cockpit/ avionics from my 'interpritaion' of the Brazilian A-4KU/ AF-1 upgrade which has the Elta EL/M-2032 radar and an 'A-4 Body' texture from my A-4SU Super Skyhawk with its quadruple countermeasure launchers along with the required changes to the data.ini. The A-4K APG-66NZ has the TWS mode enabled but I have changed the symbology and function to represent the 'Situational Awareness Mode' (SAM) function that the some of the APG-66 radars had. A-4K Kahu Skyhawk w APG-66NZ.7z AF-1 Skyhawk w Elta ELM-2032.7z A-4SU Skyhawk w extra CM launchers.7z
  7. Applying the F-16 MLU radar update to the AGP-66NZ radar the A-4K Kahu already had should enable it to fire semi-active radar guided missiles along with active radar guided missiles? My suggestion for the cannon replacements would be the 27mm Mauser BK-27, it should fit in the old colt cannon bays without to much trouble and you could have two. You could also put the old avionics hump back on but use it as an extra internal fuel tank if fuel is an issue for the new engine.
  8. I have been down this road and tried everything but ended up having to re-install windows. Microsoft help forums are a good place to start but if I were you I would do a windows restore ASP to a date at least a week before your first Blue Screen of Death.
  9. Make sure you have the 'Fake pilot' in your pilots folder and the canards/ fake pilot are set up correctly in the aircrafts data.ini [xxxxx] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=FakePilot Position=0.0,0.0,0.0 SeatModelName=xxxxxx <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< This needs to be the name of the canards model in the pilots folder SeatPosition=0.0,-0.295,-0.292 SeatID=2 FakePilot.7z
  10. Did anyone end up do this repaint in the end?
  11. Here is a fun work WIP of the IAI F-16A/B 'ACE' Upgrade. http://www.iai.co.il/17866-23270-en/Business_Areas_Military_Aircraft_Upgrades.aspx?btl=1 The cockpit is the F-22A changed to display single engine data with F-16 avionics and the Elta EL/M-2032 radar. The Skin for the prototype F-16B needs a bit more work.
  12. Haha that would be an 'interesting' phone call. It was also used on the Aussie F-111
  13. Suggestion for the Viper Team for the IAF F-16 Pack: http://www.iai.co.il/17652-26545-en/Business_Areas_Military_Defence_Self_Protection.aspx?btl=1 I think it would be a nice addition to the pack if you guys have the time and are interested. Cheers, Dan.
  14. With China about to extend its military power into the pacific region, with its soon to be operational aircraft carrier, the New Zealand government decided it was time to re-activate its air combat wing in order to provide some degree of security and deterrence. Before a Fighter Competition could be announced the US State Department, keen to keep China in check in the region, offered to subsidize a New Zealand order of the latest Block (52+) F-16C/D Fighting Falcons. The deal was to good to be passed up so a package of 25 F-16D Block 52+ aircraft plus weapons and spares were ordered. The two seat D model was chosen as it is hoped a duel crew will help overcome some the lack of experience the newly trained/ converted crews would have in the air combat role. Since New Zealand has been without an air combat wing or aircraft since 2001 a large training and skills gap exists in the RNZAF. To help solve this problem fast jet training of new aircrew and operational conversion of existing RNZAF pilots will be done in the United States by the USAF. To do this the USAF 61st Fighter Squadron at Luke AFB has been re-activated and will be responsible for training RNZAF air and ground crews. The Squadron will operate some of the newly built RNZAF F-16D Block 52+ aircraft, which will retain RNZAF markings, as well as some USAF owned aircraft which will carry US markings. Aircraft assigned to the 61st Fighter Squadron of both nationalities will carry 61st Fighter Squadron markings. (Which is how it works with Singaporean vipers in the 425th FS) No.75 Squadron RNZAF Base Ohakea, New Zealand. 61st Fighter Squadron (Air Education and Training Command) Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, United States of America.
  15. Funny you should ask lol. I will send it to you.
  16. Nice work! To cover the latter years for the RAAF Hornet the following upgrades (HUG xx) were done on them: 2003, HUG 2.1: AN/APG-73 installed, IFF upgraded so the 'Bird Slicer' type antenna is now on the nose of the aircraft, AIM-120C now used. 2004, ASRAAM now used. 2007, Lighting Pod now used, AIM-120C7 now used. 2010, HUG 2.2: JHMCS now used.

  19. That’s what I thought but this article makes reference to a future upgrade to give the IAF F-15 Baz fleet Python 5 capability: http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/israel-kicks-off-program-to-improve-its-f16s-and-f15s-01796/ "Announced improvement of the F-15 A-D Eagles will include a “replacement of electronic war systems” and an “improvement in the ability to carry advanced bombs” via integration of new weapons. Presumably, Python 5 and Derby 4 air-air missile integration will be part of the process, if that isn’t already present from past modernizations." So I started searching the net and couldn't find any hard data or a photo with an IAF F-15 carrying a Python 5 operationally.
  20. Does anyone know what Israeli Aircraft are carrying the Python 5 operationally? As far as I can tell it seems to be just the F-16I Sufa? Cheers, Dan.
