I've been sifting through the vast collection of awesome files this site has to offer in hopes of finding a "radar bomb sight" for my heavy bomber cravings. And just like going to a store to get milk and eggs but only to come out with milk eggs, some movies, candy, and two hundred dollars in other groceries and junk food. I came here looking for that sight and collected some new toys for my digital airforce. Anyhew my question is this does such a mod exist in the first place? If not. Would it be possible to have a radar mode basically be a top down view with a cross hair on it ... so a heavy bomber can drop its bombs on time and on target? I just read the story. My mother saw meteor yesterday morning was talking about how it split off and looked like a firecracker. I keep thinking about that asteroid that's supposed to just "barely miss" Earth tonight. The world seems like a big huge place until you put in perspective next to an asteroid that is zipping around out there in space. That thing could take us all out. But I wonder if every nation wasn't at War and didn't devote a large chunk of its resources to killing fellow humans over various ideologies instead of respecting each idea of their genetic brethren and living in peace. Instead, as a whole, devoted its resources to space exploration would we fear pending asteroid strikes? Would we by now have a means of blasting asteroids away as if they were nothing? Would we have been on the moon and mars by now? I wonder. Some say War brought about many inventions so if its wasn't for it we'd have nothing. But in my opinion any desire a person has if that desire is strong enough they will find a means to achieving that goal. Humanity for some reason has a desire you feel superior and as a bi-product of that desire you have various nations and warfare and as a bi product of warfare you have space exploration and many other inventions. I'm simply wondering what things would have been like today if we had a bigger a desire to explore the stars than we have the desire to one up each other.

How about we launch a hundred missiles at them (not armed) and when the missiles blot out the sun over North Korea little flags will pop out with messages saying "if this were a real nuke you'd be dead. Launch a firecracker the next time and these will be real nukes and North Korea will go bye bye." But then polotics would get in they way and that's propbably not a good idea.

Okay I think its awesome. But I lack the nessessary resources to get it done. I live near the Worlds Largest C-130 base and get to meet with a lot of the pilots there. Fighter jets are cool but someone has to keep the pilots fed, the planes fueled up and armed. That's why I think the C-130s and other cargo planes are just as important to a mlitary operation as the fighter jets. Trust me If I had the resorcues and skill it'd been done a long long time ago. Even though its not being done anymore I like the concept of LAPES. Also I've been wondering about using the mission the editor to make a re-supply missions. An object would have to be created. But it would need to be invisible with a huge radius and a low damage threshold; after all it would be the drop zone. Make the drop zone object a target and strike that target using the jeep or pallets-when they hit the DZ and "destroy it" the mission would be complete. Its just a theory. Its a damn shame that most folks see no glory in a cargo plane tha keeps its mlitary moving forward.

I was just about post Down Periscope myself. A good buddy of my a retired Naval Sub Commander mentioned how impressed he was with how they actually conducted (minus the goofy stuff) operations aboard the subs (mainly the newer sub). To him that was more accurate then most other movies he's seen.

Welcome guys. I was on another forum that deals with video games and someones old man gave him that link and when I saw if for the first time I immediately thought "The community at Combatace will love this I gotta share it with them". So I'm glad you all got a kick out of it.

Red Tails and Tuskeege Airmen. What? Why? Okay. They told a great story of men who crossed the color line in the sky. They were faced with opposition both on the ground and in the air. I wouldn't say they were great because the actors and direction in both well lacked a lot. In Tuskeege Airmen is was like B rate acting meets old gun camera footage. More could've been done to show the struggle of the men. Red Tails was like Tuskeege Airmen meets Star Wars ... well understandable considering the only movies George Lucas did was star wars so yeah. Like Tuskeege airmen I found some of the acting not to be engaging enough Ne Yo with fake accent come on dude. All in all they are both decent for the story they tell but as far drawing me in and keeping me invested well they lacked. Dig into the grit of the racial tension of that time. Show the pilots busting their butts to achieve something while the majority of America mocked them and hated them for fighting for America. Let the dirty ugly truth come out. And show, that in the end, when you hold your head up and fight for what you want you can get somewhere no matter how bad someone dogs you. I think the directors of both movies tried to dial down the racism because it is still to this day something that will start a fight. I say they shouldn't. Let the truth out.
