http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw0gjw1XIIk&feature=youtu.be Enjoy. Carrier Ops inside the pit. Makes me wanna play some SFNA
-
Interesting. I thought I was the only one who thought that way. Albeit Democracy gives you the chance to pick who is going to screw you. BTW I found this little picture some time ago. I know its off topic I just thought you'd get a kick out it.

So if they are scared then why kick a hornets nest to prove you're not afraid of anything while fearing the pending stings. Unless the CIC and his staff knows this and are just playing along for N Korea's benefit. Ugh my head hurts.. hate politics ... I find interesting from time to time though... other times just painful. To me its like playing poker but instead of using chips you use people's lives.

Luck indeed good job on the research thank you.

Just saw this on youtube. Top Gear, some car racing a cobra. Car wins and cobra crashes. People are screaming its fake and editied. But their non aviation lovings butts can kiss my rump. What you do guys think? Real or Fake https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6EsoWpTO2qg#t=56s

How about we launch a hundred missiles at them (not armed) and when the missiles blot out the sun over North Korea little flags will pop out with messages saying "if this were a real nuke you'd be dead. Launch a firecracker the next time and these will be real nukes and North Korea will go bye bye." But then polotics would get in they way and that's propbably not a good idea.

LAPES request
Skyviper replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Okay I think its awesome. But I lack the nessessary resources to get it done. I live near the Worlds Largest C-130 base and get to meet with a lot of the pilots there. Fighter jets are cool but someone has to keep the pilots fed, the planes fueled up and armed. That's why I think the C-130s and other cargo planes are just as important to a mlitary operation as the fighter jets. Trust me If I had the resorcues and skill it'd been done a long long time ago. Even though its not being done anymore I like the concept of LAPES. Also I've been wondering about using the mission the editor to make a re-supply missions. An object would have to be created. But it would need to be invisible with a huge radius and a low damage threshold; after all it would be the drop zone. Make the drop zone object a target and strike that target using the jeep or pallets-when they hit the DZ and "destroy it" the mission would be complete. Its just a theory. Its a damn shame that most folks see no glory in a cargo plane tha keeps its mlitary moving forward. -
I was just about post Down Periscope myself. A good buddy of my a retired Naval Sub Commander mentioned how impressed he was with how they actually conducted (minus the goofy stuff) operations aboard the subs (mainly the newer sub). To him that was more accurate then most other movies he's seen.

Welcome guys. I was on another forum that deals with video games and someones old man gave him that link and when I saw if for the first time I immediately thought "The community at Combatace will love this I gotta share it with them". So I'm glad you all got a kick out of it.

Red Tails and Tuskeege Airmen. What? Why? Okay. They told a great story of men who crossed the color line in the sky. They were faced with opposition both on the ground and in the air. I wouldn't say they were great because the actors and direction in both well lacked a lot. In Tuskeege Airmen is was like B rate acting meets old gun camera footage. More could've been done to show the struggle of the men. Red Tails was like Tuskeege Airmen meets Star Wars ... well understandable considering the only movies George Lucas did was star wars so yeah. Like Tuskeege airmen I found some of the acting not to be engaging enough Ne Yo with fake accent come on dude. All in all they are both decent for the story they tell but as far drawing me in and keeping me invested well they lacked. Dig into the grit of the racial tension of that time. Show the pilots busting their butts to achieve something while the majority of America mocked them and hated them for fighting for America. Let the dirty ugly truth come out. And show, that in the end, when you hold your head up and fight for what you want you can get somewhere no matter how bad someone dogs you. I think the directors of both movies tried to dial down the racism because it is still to this day something that will start a fight. I say they shouldn't. Let the truth out.

Nope. Loved that film. That and the Great Escape I know that film was long but it was great to watch.

Yeah a sport with a bunch hot chicks and boobies is something most of us can agree on. I now give the floor back to macelena
-
In the spirit of best Vietnam Film thread started by the clever macelena What do you think are some great war films in general? WW1 Sergent York WW2 (For me) Battle of Bulge The Big Red One Stalag 17 To Hell and Back Fantasy war stuff Three Kings

I know we have Thirdwire but combining a shooting with a jet game to me is kind of awesome. I mean the thing can fly it will look funny with in the cockpit if it can't bank correctly
-
I've been talking to the mod author behind this and they are finishing up a laser designating system. The author will soon tackle the first person flight mode. Keep in mind that there are no animations for flying aircraft let alone the actual view of banking. Fallout New Vegas physics will be problematic but there is a possible work around. If you're interested I'll keep you posted.

ROFL :) So who is the "hot chick love interest that we will never see again" going to be?
-
Now if the seat barreled rolled with film that might be worth it for me anyway.

http://newvegas.nexu...com/mods/49042/ Driveable Cars for Fallout New Vegas. This person here I tell you what. This guys modding skills I tell you what. Don't get me wrong theres a lot of great modding out there but this guy here has some mad skills. I'm gonna see if this guy wants to cross over into aviation. First release was a few days ago. Quite buggy (but its a beta so considering its still awesome) I'd like to see what he can do with the Thirdwire engine.

Oh okay. Thank for setting things straight. Watched a parade where the Queen recognized the colors of the 1st armored regiement (the Qeen's Birthday March). I couldn't tell if she looked ticked off or happy. They kept saying she was happy but she just looked like she was angry or something.

Cool. Thank you for taking the time to answer that. But in answering one question another is raised. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kr6KstzpHVk#t=78s Why would cadets stand guard at the palace? To me that's a like a recruit standing guard at the white house.

Hey I was looking at various videos of guard changings. American and British. During the British video I noticed some were black unfiorms. What is the significance of these uniforms what is theiir symbolysim?
