  1. This was Bud in 2001 at the Yankee Air Museum. He was there with Gabby Gabreski and Gerry Johnson. They've all flown on after Zemke: "This is Yardstick. Follow me."
  2. My wife and I anticipate traveling to Sofia, Bulgaria this summer. Anyone been there, live there? We're looking for good hotels to stay in, and good restaurants to try. History and culture? We expect about a two week stay. Thanks in advance... ML
  3. Thanks guys! It was a very good day! ML
  4. S!
  5. Well, perhaps you could mod a small crater lod with a long lasting smoke effect and use that for the destroyed lod, just to test. Get a better destroyed lod from a 3D modder after...
  6. Got the grass cut and some other yard work done this morning... About to cook out later this afternoon with friends coming over... A pleasant West Michigan afternoon!

Every Sunday night, like clockwork, the wife and I with a bowl of popcorn... We love that show!

IMHO, the best AV is available at http://www.superantispyware.com/index.html This AV even has self changing exe name available if an existing infection won't allow you to download and run the usual AV programs here... http://www.superantispyware.com/supportfaq...lay.html?faq=71 This AV software found things that AdAware and several others did not... This will even find and remove the nasty rootkits... ML
  10. Happy Birthday to outstanding men!!
  11. Thank you very much, Gentlemen! It has been a most happy day today, with the sun shining and mid-60's here in west Michigan. MY wife gave me some nice gifts, including "Wolfpack Warriors"... I have taken the next two days off from work to relax, and now I have a book to read. Thanks! ML
  12. Happy Birthday Dave!!!1!11!!
  13. Maybe it's too old of a concept; a song with actual lyrics...
  14. yipeee yi yoooo, yippeee yi yaaaaa, ... ghost riders in the sky....
  15. As previously mentioned, "Boyd" is a must... (Note the formula on my sig banner...) Adding to the list, Robert Johnson's "Thunderbolt" is a classic... "Report of the Joint fighter Conference: NAS Patuxent River, MD 16-23 OCT 1944" published by Schiffer, contains great insights into what military pilots of WWII actually thought about what they flew in a massive side-by-side fly-off conference...
  16. Their brands were still on fire and their hoofs were made of steel... Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel...
  17. There has been some study in SF flight models using spreadsheet type programs (Excel) throughout the years... For editing INI files, try using Notepad++ It's great having a program that has a line counter...
  18. They all do, but most "new" sticks don't properly implement force feedback; they lack input from flight controls and only provide feedback from effect events, such as launching a missile or being hit... (at least a cyborg stick I had behaved this way) The old MS FF2 was the ultimate, and I sure love mine...
  19. Hi Russ, been lurking a bit and make a post occasionally. R/L has taken over and not been much time for simming... Still around though... Ken
  20. Not that difficult... In Photoshop, it is just another layer. Open a stock TGA and look at the Alpha channel...
  21. The TGAs for SF are 32 bit files; 24 bit for color and 8-bits for an "Alpha Layer"... The Alpha layer or alpha channel is a gray scale image that designates transparency; you'll need Photoshop or some other fully featured graphics program to make alpha channels. I have an old copy of Photoshop 5.5 that I use... there are a number of other programs that will handle this type of file. ML
  22. You can explicitly call a specific date in a user-made mission...
  23. You've answered your own question... Looks like we have a winner!
