Due to the strong response to NATO Fighters, I am proceeding with further expansion packs. Next up will be NATO Fighters II, which will further round out the available planset in Wings Over Europe, and add some additional ground objects. Included in this pack will be... Ground Objects -------------- SA-3 Goa SA-9 Gaskin M1A1 Abrams Tank Aircraft -------- CF-5A Freedom Fighter Jaguar GR.1 MiG-23ML (Adversary) OV-10A (FAC Only) Su-15A (Adversary) Tornado GR.1A Yak-25M (Adversary) Yak-28B (Adversary) And perhaps a surprise? Stay tuned... The pack will also address a small bug in NATO Fighters. As usual, all new aircraft and objects will be fully integrated with the campaigns, and installation will be simple, requiring no modding or file editing. Coming soon!

The lines can definately shift. Something unusual must have been going on in that particular campaign. -

http://www.column5.us/aircraft2.shtml I think there is a skin pack for it here on CombatAce. You'll definately want to get that too. -
This is a free community project. I am assembling mods from the past 4 years and putting them together in one unified pack, and making sure that the campaigns are updated to take full advantage of them. I am using, or planning to use work form the following people: Deuces Sony Tuckson JetZ JSF_Aggie RussoUK2002 Mirage Factory Tiwaz Boopidoo Armourdave ...and others. I'm still in the process of finalizing permissions but so far everyone has been keen to contribute their work.

COMING SOON! I am happy to announce the first in a series of new expansion packs for Wings Over Europe. NATO Fighters leverages many individual mods released over the last four years to significantly enhance the WOE experience. The most obvious omission in WOE is the lack of the ubiquitous F-104G Starfighter employed throughout the 1960s and 70s by many NATO air forces. WOE:NF adds this important aircraft and updates the 1968 and 1979 campaigns to include several flyable NATO squadrons. In addition, the pack adds the outstanding Lightning F.6, the Belgian Mirage 5BA, and other aircraft, all fully integrated into the campaigns. Finally, a number of visual enhancements breathe additional life into the environment. I must stess that all of the mods included in this pack are already available. This series of expansions simply brings them all together in one place, fully integrates them into the campaigns and makes installation a snap. The goal is not to include every NATO squadron, but a representitive selection of units to allow players to fly for nations other than the US, Great Britain and West Germany. Here is a list of expected features: New Aircraft: F-84F Thunderstreak F-104G Starfigther Lightning F6 Mirage 5BA Su-15TM Flagon Su-17M Fitter Campaign Updates: 1968 - Added Belgian No. 2 Squadron in F-84F - Added Belgian No. 350 Squadron in F-104G - Added Danish Esk 723 in F-104G - Added RAF No. 11 Squadron in Lightning F6 - Added RNLAF 311 and 322 Squadrons in F-104G - Added West German JG31 and JG74 in F-104G 1979 - Added Belgian No. 1 Squadron in Mirage 5BA - Added Belgian No. 350 Squadron in F-104G - Added Canadian No. 421 Squadron in F-104G - Added Danish Esk 723 in F-104G - Added RAF No. 11 Squadron in Lightning F6 - Added RNLAF 311 and 322 Squadrons in F-104G - Added two Soviet SU-15TM units as adversaries - Added two Soviet SU-17M units as adversaries The pack also includes Deuces' Effects Pack 3 and enhanced WOE terrain, JSF_Aggie's high-resolution airbases and a custom weapons selection for the add-on planes. This pack is in final testing and should be ready in 2 to 3 weeks! Additional packs will follow, each focusing on a specific theme such as adding the French AdA, and naval operations.

If you try to use the Tomcat in WOV, you'll have to tweak the game's end date a bit. Its easy to do though. As CoolHand said you can add the Mirage Factory Tomcat to any of the three sims. I'd suggest buying WOV if you like naval aviation and WOE if you are an Air Force enthusiast. Also, Flying Toaster has produced a new F-14B model and it is absolutely stunning. Look for it to be released by the Mirage Factory towards the end of the year or early 2007 if things go according to plan.

WOE
column5 replied to johnlind2002's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I find WOE to be somewhere in between SF and WOV in difficulty. For me nothing is more difficult than tooling around Pack 6. The 60% scale world doesn't help since it crams all those SAM sites into a smaller area. -
That's a myth, actually. Probably created by the CIA to cover up the real events. See, we all know John Kerry was sent on a secret mission into Cambodia in December of '69, but the question is, why? I learned this on the Internet, so you can accept it as fact: In february 1898 the USS Maine was blown up in Havana Harbor. In 1945 Flight 19 disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle. In the 1990s Louis Farrakhan was abducted by aliens while visiting ancient Myan ruins and brought to a mother ship that spun "like a great wheel" in space. What do all of these events have in common? Absolutely nothing. But back to John Kerry. He sailed his patrol boat up the Quaing Tri river in December '69 and secretly made a deal with Ho Chi Minh and Mao Tse Tung that actually ended the war in exchange for $3.50 and a lifetime supply of Bubbleicious (grape flavor). When he got back to Washington, President Nixon was furious at this unauthorized diplomacy and refused to honor the treaty that Kerry had brought back. In revenge, Nixon ordered G. Gordon Liddy to go back in time and assassinate JFK and RFK. This is why Kerry joined the anti-war movement. Well, that and he thought it would help him get into Jane Fonda's pants, which he did but when he got into them he doscovered she had a penis. That's another story though.

No way in hell I'm leaving this post alone. Your so-called "services" are just like those of Digital-Underload. You talk a great game but you've never produced a single thing. You are a poser. -

Let's be clear on this. It was me that you gave the A-6 to, with the understadning that I would find a modeler to finish it and get it in the game. (Also, you are incorrect that we have had it for a full year...it was sometime earlier this year that I received it from you.) Monty stepped up and I sent it to him. After checking it out, he decided to start from scratch. Not becasue there was anything wrong with it as far as I know, but because he uses different modeling techniques than were used by Chicago in making the original model. Let's not leave Chicago out of this, shall we? He was the original modeller, and you did very little with it for quite some time after receiving it from him. At any rate, about the time the external model was ready and the flight model was getting close, Monty started on the pit. Just days after I saw the first test build of the pit, WoV was announced, along with an official A-6. The question now is whether or not we will finish the A-6 at all, or defer to the one in WoV. I don't really know what point you were trying to make with your post, but I don't like it whatever it is. -
