  1. Happy birthdays guys!
  2. Rgr that, thanks!
  3. Is it offically the Lancer, or does it still not have a name?
  4. Nicky is good about pulling a chap's arse out of the fire. DFC, OBE, etc., etc.
  5. As you've said to me more than once before, a good skin makes up for a lot of polys...maybe we can talk Sundowner into draping some of his sex-skins on that Spit and Hurri... Awesome stuff as always. Also, glad to see you around...
  6. We should just impose the death penalty for this. Sexual offenders cannot be reformed and it costs too much to keep them alive in prison.
  7. Symbiotic is a good word. I think TK could structure his business to be successful in most any environment, but CA certainly helps him (I have to believe).
  8. Some may disagree with our methods but Dave and I always have the interests of the community in our hearts.
  9. Mad props for running the investigation that allowed us to nab this whore: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,526462,00.html
  10. Definitely let them know that CA is the place when it comes to ThirdWire modding.
  11. And Gr.Viper wins the prize! http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6646
  12. Guys, There was a little confusion with this file, and if you downloaded yesterday you may have gotten the wrong version. The following is the correct file. Thanks! http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=9193
  13. I'm testing with all missiles upped to the new higher range in NF4+. My suspicion is that a missile has to make numerous check against countermeasures during its flight, so if a missile with CM rejection of 90 has to make 100 checks during its flight, odds are it is going to be decoyed. For all we know the missile is checking every second. At least, that is my guess as to what is going on. I'll ask him though.
  14. Kick ass!
  15. Damn that is a nice one Syrinx!
  16. One thing I did do was set Specific Station Code F111 to the PaveTack, because the F-111F bomb bay is set that way.
  17. Nice one, pureblue. Those vipers look mean as hell.
  18. LOL, I know some of you love hearing me say that! Anyway, had a moment of brilliant ignorance today. I'm trying to get the the PaveTack to work in the F-111F in NF4+, and I'm getting nowhere. Quadruple-checked all the INI files, tried all kinds of ways to set up the pod with the weapon editor, but no luck. Spent well over an hour working on it, but could never get the TV display to come on when I select the bomb. Moment of realization: For some reason, after my last test while sitting on the runway, I decided to take off. Because I had the GBU-12 selected, as soon as I took off and retracted the gear, the TV screen came on! Apparantly at some point TK made it so that the TV screen won;t come on until you are airborne. I wanted to kick myself. There is an hour of my life I can't get back... Anyone have a similar story to recount?
  19. Hell hath no fury like a nuclear-armed Lady.
  20. I've just noticed that the CM rejection values for all missiles in SF2E are extremely high. Even a missile like the AA-2 is set to 98.9228. I don't know what to make of this yet...
  21. OK, no matter what I do I cannot get any missiles to show up on Pasko's Hawk launcher. I've double checked the data INI for the launcher and for the missile (even tried a couple of different missiles, thinking I might have a bad LOD) but no luck. Is there something unusual about Pasko's launcher or am I missing something fundamental? In seven years I have never been stumped getting a missile to show up.
  22. Probably not "impossible" to jam but this bit of info probably explains the difficulty in doing so: The two I-band guidance radars make it possible to launch two missiles at the same target, each one responding to a different frequency to frustrate ECM. The above referring to real-life of course, not the game.
  23. Up under Weapons you need to create a folder for each weapon. Let's say the folder is "AIM-9N". In that folder create a file called "AIM-9N.INI" and a file called "AIM-9N_DATA.INI". <-- Important, the primary INI file "AIM-9N.INI" MUST match the folder name. Copy the LODs for the weapon to the folder (not necessary if the weapon uses stock LODs). The AIM-9N.INI file will contain a set of data similar to an aircraft INI file, including the weapon name, name of the data INI, the names of the LOD(s), shadow information, and specular/glossiness info for the skin. I'd post an example but I don't have one handy--extract and check some of the stock weapons. The AIM-9N_DATA.INI simply contains the weapon data. Always use 001 for the weapon number in this file. Its time consuming but when you are done your weapons will be completely modular. You don't have to use the weapon editor either--when set up this way all you have to do is drop a new weapon's folder in the Weapons folder and it will be installed automatically when you launch the game.
  24. Are you setting your weapons up using the new SF2 method?
